السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

Brothers & Sisters, Another quick question - What to do once you complete reciting the complete Quran (Khatam) ?
Do I have to donate anything like Sadaqa or ask the Imam in the mosque to pray or something ?
Thank you.

We, the MuslimOfAmerica team, have not heard of any such thing where you donate or do something special specifically for finishing the Quran. Once you finish it, you start reading it again. The beauty of the Quran is that each time you read it, certain verses will mean something else to you (if you understand Arabic or if you are reading a translation along with the Arabic). Once you finish, just start again the next day and try to get even closer to Allah. As Salamu Alaykum

I make dua. Many masajid in my area (USA) have a khatum ul-Quran when the recitation of the Quran is completed during Taraweeh prayers. The night ends with a long dua.
