Salaam alaykum,
I did some research on why we have bugs in the world and wrote this list of reasons bugs can be good.
Alhamdulillah for all bugs good and bad!!

Bugs can have a bad reputation for a many reasons:
They bite
They sting
They eat our food and homes
But that's a minority of bugs doing damage to the overall reputation of insects. Most insects are in fact good bugs and very beneficial to society. So read on and learn why we should love bugs.
There are a few insects such as aphids, caterpillars and grasshoppers that eat our crops and do damage to our food supply. But the good news is there are better insect eating insects that can remove these insects from our food supply. These good guys decrease the amount of synthetic chemicals we have to spray on our crops and do a service to all humanity. Such as, the ladybug, a single ladybug can eat up to 500 aphids before it grows up. That's a lot of aphids to remove from our food supply. The lacewing wasp deposits its larva inside caterpillars which munch on tomato plants. The caterpillar will slowly die as the larvae hatch and grow a cocoon around the caterpillars body. Until they grow into more wasps and go on to continue the cycle of reproduction. That is one less tomato plant being lost to a caterpillar.
The next thing insects are good for is to recycle wastes. There are insects called dung beetles that literally recycle the dung (or poop) of other animals. They find a pile of dung, break off a piece, roll it into a ball then carry it away to eat later or to save for depositing its eggs. There are also insects on the forest floor that remove debris from falling branches. leave, and rotting wood. They are natures little cleaners. These insects are roaches, earwigs, crickets, beetles and white grubs. You can find many of these insects clearing away decaying debris from the forest floor.
We can thank bees, beetles, wasps and flies for the abundance of fruit, flowers and vegetables we have in the world today. Thanks to these insects we have good food and flowers. The insects travel from flower to flower spread a powder called pollen and aid the flower to produce seeds and fruits/vegetables. These insects are called pollinators and bees are one of the best pollinators we have on earth.
Insects also make things for us to use. The biggest example is the honeybee which produces sweet delicious honey that we can eat. The nest is silkworms, they spin cocoons with their silk and we use the cocoons to make lovely, delicate garments. Finally, the cochineal caterpillar produces a strong red dye which s used by scientists to dye things such as red juices, red candies and things like lipsticks. Next time you eat a red candy , you will know that you are actually eating the ground up bodies of dead caterpillars.
The insects are a powerful tool in medicine as well. Doctors sometimes inject blowflies into a wound which is having trouble to heal. These blowflies produce maggots which eat the surrounding dead and infected tissues and bacteria. In a few days then the maggots are removed and the wound is healed. So next time you think Bugs are an annoyance you would rather be without them then remember this note.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

From it we created you, to it we return you, and from it we bring you forth as a new creation.

Then when We decreed (Solomon's) death nothing showed them his death except a little worm of the earth which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his staff: so when he fell down the Jinns saw plainly that if they had known the unseen they would not have tarried in the humiliating Penalty (of their Task).

QURAN 34:14

131.*But when good (times) came, they said, "This is due to us;" When gripped by calamity, they ascribed it to evil omens connected with Moses and those with him! Behold! in truth the omens of evil are theirs in Allah.s sight, but most of them do not understand!

132.*They said (to Moses): "Whatever be the Signs thou bringest, to work therewith thy sorcery on us, we shall never believe in thee.

133.*So We sent (plagues) on them: Wholesale death, Locusts, Lice, Frogs, And Blood: Signs openly self-explained: but they were steeped in arrogance,- a people given to sin.

134.*Every time the penalty fell on them, they said: "O Moses! on our behalf call on thy Lord in virtue of his promise to thee: If thou wilt remove the penalty from us, we shall truly believe in thee, and we shall send away the Children of Israel with thee."

135.*But every time We removed the penalty from them according to a fixed term which they had to fulfil,- Behold! they broke their word!

136.*So We exacted retribution from them: We drowned them in the sea, because they rejected Our Signs and failed to take warning from them.

137.*And We made a people, considered weak (and of no account), inheritors of lands in both east and west, - lands whereon We sent down Our blessings. The fair promise of thy Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel, because they had patience and constancy, and We levelled to the ground the great works and fine buildings which Pharaoh and his people erected (with such pride).

Quran 7:131-137

Then, when they saw it as a dense cloud coming towards their valleys, they said: "This is a cloud bringing us rain!"
Nay, but it is that (torment) which you were asking to be hastened! a wind wherein is a painful torment!

Destroying everything by the Command of its Lord! So they became such that nothing could be seen except their dwellings! Thus do We recompense the people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, etc.)!

Quran 46:24-25

Amazing isn't it? How mosquitoes go and lurk in the grimiest and swampiest places in the locality and then come and vaccinate people with tiny amounts of the local risks - and thereby strengthen the immune systems of the victims?
And sometimes just kill 'em dead as decreed.

Walaikumasalaam,

Am not squeamish around bugs but i prefer not to be around them. I don't like the creepy crawly feeling of small creatures.

May Allah swt save us from punishments in the grave Ameen.

I do agree with you though, we do need to look beyond our feelings and focus on the benefits. Alhamdulilah.

Maggots are excellent and used for chronic ulcers.

Leech's are great for healing skin or restoring circulation.

Alhamdulilah for the benefits.

i prefer less creepy items to slimy bugs, orange peel does a wonderful job too, way more effective than bandages, try pressing a piece of orange peel on a cleaned wound and you'll notice that it's still pulling puss and blood out - while delivering vitamin-c to the area, it's also compatible with the skin and absorbent, unlike bandages which begin to get septic after the blood on them stagnates -unless one uses antiseptic which most of us know kills living cells and can be a cause of toxicity in the system.

The orange peel also allows the skin to start building the new soft layer overnight and protects it from local germs.
