The Ottoman Empire was the one of the largest and longest lasting Empires in history (621 years).

It was an empire inspired and sustained by Islam, and Islamic institutions.

At its peak it included:

Palestine
Jordan
Lebanon
Syria
Parts of Arabia
Much of the coastal strip of North Africa [emoji41]

it was also a Kingship, handed down from father to son - which is not an islamic practice, but a form of greed governance.
