I found it is very important to distinguish these two conceptions.
What is the Fear in general?
It is a vital feeling, which guides species (either human or an animal) away from the dangerous situation.
It also blocks curiousity and ability to analize and cognize.
Simply saying, fear narrows the thinking.
One, who has fear of cars, unable to learn drive.
One, who has fear of water, unable to learn swim.
Whenever human approaching something he could learn to deal with, but have a fear, it turns him to a frightened animal.
Everything we are able to analize and cognize, entire Universe is the Creation of Allah, cognition of anything is happening by his permission.
One, who has no fear of Allah, usually has fear of Creation, which narrows his thinking.
One, who has no any fear, loosing any guidance in the infinity of possible explanations and, simply saying, is loosing his mind.
From this point of view, the Fear of Allah (who guide us to the Straight Way), may be thought as the Occam's Razor concept (being used by atheists to challenge religions) or search for minimal Colmogorov's Complexity (in math) or even related to The Least Action principle (in physics)

Asalaam O Alaikum Brother....
Ponder over the following Verse of Surah Al Araaf (Chapter 7) Verse 56...
and invoke Him with fear and hope; Surely, Allah's Mercy is (ever) near unto the good-doers.
The Al Mighty Allah (swt) Himself advises us to keep a balance between 'Hope' and 'Fear' for if only one stays without the other, we will not be able to gain His Consciousness.... their balance is required in attaining His Consciousness (Taqwa)....
If only fear remains then we'll move away from Him eventually and if only there is Hope without fear then we are like person throwing arrows in the dark trying to hit the target believing that we can...
