Assalamualaikum,

I am wondering whether we're allowed to read Islamic books in e.g English that contains Ayat to proof the point, without wudu. I know it's mandatory to have wudu as you wish to recite from the mushaf. What about people who are stressed in holding wudu for a long time, so it gets difficult for them and they tend to not read because of that.

Wa alaikum salam

Without wudhu they can hold the book without touching the actual verses of the Qur'an by hand.
