This is a message for anyone who is going through some difficulty in their life, be it in their marriage, at work, in Deen or anything else...

Know that this life is not a place of absolute happiness or joy. There are highs & lows but اللَّهُ Subhana Ta'ala will never Test you with more than you can handle. In His wisdom & justice He tries people according to their levels so know that your trial is according to your level.

Also know that the brightness of day follows the darkness of night. So in your moment of darkness have glad tidings of the light which will follow & bear patiently whatever comes your way.

Some days it will seem like your back is against the wall & you can't go on, but don't you see how the bird flies for miles until it eventually reaches it's food? The towering tree doesn't grow tall overnight - it sends its roots far & wide & then begins the slow, painful climb skywards.

Likewise, your rise to the heights of jannah won't be easy but keep going until you reach your goal.

Yes, the road is long. Yes, the nights are dark & lonely but know that whoever has اللَّهُ Subhana Ta'ala ,then he has the ultimate protector & to اللَّهُ Subhana Ta'ala Belong the treasures of the heavens & the earth - He gives them to whoever He wills.

So I advise my own soul & then yours - keep your eye on the goal & keep moving towards it. The seas of life will get rocky & there will be storms, but in the morning perhaps there will be perfect stillness with no waves at all?

With hardship comes ease, with trials come rewards & with patience comes Jannah

What a lovely thread. I am suffering big time again. I won't bore you all with details of what again!

Can I just ask what you mean or the author means by "He tries people according to their levels", what are these levels?

Also, when you and others say "He won't test someone with more than they can handle", what if someone genuinely reaches a point that they cannot handle it anymore? What if they ask Him for help but He doesn't? Is it because He got it wrong or does none of the above make sense and have I just completely lost the plot AGAIN?

One tip from me if it reaches the point where you can't handle it anymore:

Avert your thoughts, do something, do sports, just refresh your thoughts, go outside, jog, read a book etc.

Yes I'm the author.

It means that Allah will not give you a problem or put you in a situation which you cannot overcome.

If you feel you cannot overcome it and become bogged down , you need to strengthen your faith. Problems are meant to strengthen us, not drive us to depression and suicide.

It never gets easier, you just get stronger.

I see.

So what if you had prayed for a number of years (not just you, but your family also) and these troubles never went away, what then? What if you have tried everything that was possible other than getting a gun and going round and killing them all?

I understand it never gets easier, but I am definitely not getting stronger. What if I am becoming iller and weaker? Would that mean that I am in the wrong somehow?

Having said that my Iman is extremely weak again at the moment, so maybe that's why I am feeling extremely depressed again.

At times like this, take aid in reciting the Quran with tafakkur (understanding) and shift your focus away from your problem to the awesome power of the ONE who can solve it. Get to know Allah better by means of the Quran . HE never abandons anyone who seeks Him..... and that's a certainty.
