‘Amr Ibnu Salama would lead his community in prayer at the age of six or seven because of his knowledge of the Qur’an ..

Rafi’ Ibnu Khadij would stand on his tip toes before battle, fearing that the Prophet PBUH would turn him away because of how young he was ..

We find excuses for the teenagers who go off the mark and whose attitudes turn rancid towards their families and friends, arguing that “it’s those teenage years”,

“it’s a period of change”, “they’ll grow out of it” etc.

Yet, at this tender age, the teens of the companions were making monumentally life changing decisions, viewing their adolescence as a gift which is rapidly fading away and thus they’d drench those years with serious worship, learning and da’wah.
