POEM 1 >_<

Dear future husband,
Dear future best friend
Dear future soul mate,
Wherefore art thou?
Wherefore do you roam?

Do you think of me?
Pondering the same thoughts, I do…
Did you brush your teeth?
Did you eat today?
Did you wear a sweater outside?
It seems like it is going to rain…

Are you praying in time?
Are you sleeping all right?
I have lots of questions, I know
As my curiosity grows.
I wonder if you like the same things I do
The books, the writing and the art too

I wonder if you like to feed animals
If you like the smell and fragrance of lavender
Whether you enjoy to walk on the beach
Marveling at Allah’s beautiful artistic endeavor
I wonder if you enjoy to garden
To quench the little thirst of seeds

I am a curious girl,
I marvel continuously at the world
I cannot seem to grasp or understand
The fondness I have for you,
I do not know where you are
Where you stand
Whether you like to glare at the ceiling or perhaps the pebbles in the sand

You are a mystery
There is an exciting adventure Allah has planned
To get to know one another
To understand our hearts and comfort our sorrows
To get through life together and meet each other again in Jannah
In’sha Allah

Dear future husband,
Dear future best friend,
Dear future soul mate
I wait for you
At the right time
At the right place
With the right intentions
As Allah plans.

Ma.shaa.Allaah tabarak Allaah
May Allaah grant you a husband who will be the coolness of your eyes in duniyah and your guide to jannah and a protector of your honor and dignity. May you both love each other for the sake of Allaah and help each other in Pleasing and serving Him. May he be your eternal companion of jannah. Aameen

Used to write for the long distant husband? Because now you have a close present husband? [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7][emoji5][emoji39]

I really DON'T have the skill of writing poetry...I've only ever wrote like 2 poems in my life although one did win a competition once upon a time.

I don't think you need a great "skill" or "talent" to start writing poetry, anyone can write but of course there are some great poets with great lingistic abilities along with wisdom who are famous.

I don't have any linguistic talents/wisdom myself but I still can write poetry when I feel like writing...anyone can, you just need an idea/topic...its just thoughts on paper with some rhymes, structure and stanzas....you will have your own style and the more you write, you will grow in your abilities.

It is always good to learn from other poets...I personally like reading and appreciating other peoples works myself but may be you will become a great poet one day inshaAllah! :)
