Salams brothers & sister's hope you are well. As most of us have been hearing recently that the western media has been against muslims.

I just want to ask, why do you think this is?

Why has the media got it in for us?

Islam is a religion of peace so why would they be against us?

Western media does not "have it in" for "Muslims"

They have it in for IS who unfortunately, due to lack of awareness amongst non believers, represent Islam. Which of course is not true.

The media is just an arm of the Global Elite who mostly attacks Islam not because its a religion but because its also a socio-economic and political system that governs all of man's needs. Islam and Shariah stand in the way of "Freedom and Democracy", exploitation, corrupting, usury, drug trade, bribery, etc. Everything in the Law of Allah is justice which is why the disbelievers despise it. If you want to know how they fight Islam in the media and their nefarious goals for changing Islam, changing the mentality of the Muslim so he becomes a Modernist Deviant then watch this video:

Here is the document that the Shiekh is referring to. It is from the Think Tank called Rand Corporation. Read it and become aware of how some of their plots are coming into fruition upon unsuspecting Muslims:

It goes so much deeper than everything you can imagine

Lets just say the media is owned by "elites" who are the richest and by dunya terms powerfull people, who do these people worship > shaytan
We all know what shaytans plan is.
So we can say in essence shaytan is in control of the media look at music its full of filth about drugs, sex, illegal acts, treating women like poo etc etc, movies the same... it has become a normal thing.
The news in uk is manily owned by one man and he is a satanist,
The people who promote the news are just the smaller pawns in the big game of will you believe in Allah or follow shaytan
The news is either about how awfull islam is "is" or about celebrities... you get the few odd "good" stories so it doesnt come across as anti-islam

There was a 4 hour documentry/lecture on this by some brothers and i have completely forgotten what it is called.. maybe someone can remind me and it is on this specific topic about the rise of shaytan through the media

Anwar_al-Awlaki lol you actually call him someone worth listening to? You know he was arrested and pled guilty to soliciting prostitutes and paying for sex with them? This man has zero credibility. This is what I'm talking about when it comes to reliable scholars...

This man has no professional study history of Islam, Sharia, Fiqh or anything. He studied civil engineering and was an imam for a short period of time. This is exactly the type of misguidance real scholars warn us about. Following people with no knowledge.

Sister do not get dragged into the uneducated circle of young boys. I don't have much advice, I openly acknowledge I am not a very good Muslim myself but stick to learning from people with knowledge. You would never learn microbiology from someone who didn't study it? You would never learn physics from someone who didn't study it and you certainly would not learn philosophy from a farmer.

Stick to trusting the people with the knowledge, 10 - 15 years knowledge and they've mastered the Quran and the hadiths and all aspects of Islam.

All knows our intentions and our hearts

P.S About the documents being forged. File a freedom of information request with the U.S government and you'll get his entire court case, his mug-shot photo and the details of his arrest. This was in 1996 when he wasn't delusional and there was no need to forge these papers. He fled to Yemen where he was ultimately killed by a hellfire missile. The proof is there sister, it's just whether or not people actually want to find it.

Even if you only follow one scholar, I highly advise Muhammad al-Yaqoubi. He is a Syrian and a direct descendent of the prophet saw. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_al-Yaqoubi

Absolutely fantastic video by the great scholar may allah be pleased with his teachings.

Know that if the disbelievers and hypocrites are displeased with you, say Al-Hamdulilah. For that means you are doing something correct in your Deen. But if they are content and well pleased with you, say Astaghfirullah. For that means you are doing something wrong in your Deen. Let this be a criterion to judge your Islam.

"And if you obey most of those on earth, they will mislead you far away from Allah's Path. They follow nothing but conjectures, and they do nothing but lie." (6:116)

Lol sis i dont follow what other people do or think...
A lot of scholars, to reach out to people have now started to talk and include modernism into their lectures, i have even seen them be "ok" with gays and not tell it how it is, even people who have years of knowledge go astray.

I will only follow/listen to those who correctly call people to Islam, promote islam how it should be, and condem those who need to be, who speak out against oppression, and their mannerisms are inviting when talking about islam , but I will not stand for/by anyone who calls to violence on innocent people at all ever.

I have my select that i listen to as they speak the truth and do not care if they are disliked or hated, they spread the deen of Allah as it should be and speak out against government tactics against people even non-muslimsetc.

I remember when i first watched the dua sheik suddais made and i cried...and since then i have always wanted to pray behind him just so i can say ameen to his duas against oppressors etc

Sis i will never trust anything any government tells me about anything, they are liars and deceivers, they are shaytans lil "followers"
They have vilified islam i wouldnt believe anything that came out of their filthy mouths

I agree with you and I was not trying to tell you who you can and can't listen to I was simply stressing the importance of listening to people with knowledge because it is those people who know the truth. You do not know the truth, you are not a scholar, I am not a scholar, probably nobody on the forum is an actual scholar... Scholars have decades of knowledge and is it they that know the truth and therefore we listen to them.

Allah knows best.

Sister, let me tell you a story about Shiekh Sudais. First when I made Hajj back in 2001 and we had the Jumah prayer there, the Sheikh gave the khutbah. I couldn't understand what he was saying but it felt like he was cracking the whip. Later on, he made a trip to South Florida. We waited in anticipation at a hotel in Miami. A bunch of us. Patrons at the hotel were probably wondering why all these Muslims where converging there. They didn't know the Imam of the Meccan Haram was coming. When he came the people stood up and swarmed to him. He gave a lecture in a conference room and led the prayer outside of it in the open area of the hotel. People began swarming towards him again. My friend who introduced me to Islam a decade earlier was shouting to the people, "back away, you are not praying to the Shiekh but to Allah." SubhanAllah. Anyways after that night, he stayed north of Miami and was a guest at our local masjid for about 3 days. At the time you couldn't get more than 10 people to pray Isha at the masjid but when news spread that the Sheikh was there, that place was overflowing with Muslims. Much to the banter of my friends who made the effort to call people out on it, lol. Anyways, for me Sudais was the best reciter of the Quran. His voice is mesmorizing to me. So one night just before the Isha prayer, my friend takes me by the hand and escorts me to the back office where the Shiekh was sitting with the masjid officials and Saudi embassy official. My friend goes to him and says in Arabic, "this is one of your biggest fans who would like to meet you". SubhanAllah, I was filled with emotion. The shiekh could sense I was choking up, so you know what he did to break the awkwardness? He reached down and handed me a cookie. LOL Let me tell you, you could hear the crying going on when he was leading the prayer. It was hard not to choke up. May Allah Azza wa Jal reward the Sheikh for his service to Islam.

Ameen....

That is such a lovely story subhanAllah he handed you a cookie LOL.
I would love to pray behind him and hear his beautiful duas and just be able to say ameen to them.
i probably wont be able to understand him but i know my heart will in sha Allah... i can only imagine the tears being shed, i saw one video on youtube and every face that the camera zoomed in on was crying subhanAllah.
I would love to listen to a khutba done by him, theres just only a few people i would absolutely love to pray behind.
Yes i only listen to him as a recitor for Quran he has an amazing and memorising voice that just pulls you in and makes you love the Quran even more...
May Allah reward him abundantly and raise his status..Ameen

Does he still lead prayer there ?

I don't know if does or not. Though I must confess, my new favorite reciter is Shiekh Ghamdi :Emoji50:

I think it's because western society is unsure of their own identity, that they create this constant hatred for "others" whether it is antisemitism, hatred against the Romani people in Europe, against Latin American immigrants and against Muslims. It's a source of discomfort with their own sense of identity. Moreover, since they do not have inscribed within their religious texts protection for people of different beliefs, there is this constant desire to classify and govern other people that do not share the same beliefs.
