Inspirited Minds works with some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our community and our team of volunteers are our lifeblood and we couldn't be a lifeline without them. We are truly grateful for the work they do, they persevere, they are passionate and they strive to aid because they genuinely care. Our mission as a charity is to provide advice and support to those affected by mental health problems, raise awareness to reduce the stigma around mental health, especially within the Muslim community and to look at mental health and psychology from an Islamic perspective. Volunteering is an excellent way of taking your valuable lifeskills and experience and using them to benefit others in your local community. We have plenty of opportunities to get involved whatever your individual skill level and interests. You can learn more about the current roles available below.

Outreach Worker

The Outreach Worker will engage with members of the community to raise awareness about mental health. They will plan events, workshops and other activities with their team members and refer clients to sources of help.
- Offer educational presentations, workshops, programs, support groups and assistance to members of the community.
- Act as an advocate where needed and provide information, advice and other support services to individuals and families affected by mental health problems.
- Network and build partnerships with local and national organisations.
- Communicate with outreach team members to plan events and workshops.
- Write summaries on the outcomes of each project, highlighting improvements. These are to be discussed with outreach team members for guidance of future events and workshops.
- Work with their line manager to achieve frequent, timely and positive outreach schemes.
- Relay updates as and when required by their line manager.
- May be required to travel within the country.

Support Worker

The Support Worker will work directly with clients ensuring they receive adequate guidance. They will direct clients to relevant professionals as necessary.
- Support clients in developing skills in any aspect (social, personal) via a variety of communication methods.
- Support clients in emotional and psychological needs - ensuring each correspondence is recorded and monitored.
- Liaise with counsellors to develop care plans for the clients best interest.
- Provide feedback of progress and updates of clients to the counsellor.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality rights of each client.
- Raise any concerns with counsellor immediately; ensuring line manager is aware of these situations.

Fundraising Officer

The Fundraising Officer will develop projects which will sustain the organisation’s incoming funds. They will plan events, campaigns and other activities to raise charity funds.
- Work efficiently with the fundraising team to raise charity funds.
- Communicate with team members to plan events, campaigns, tube/mosque collections, treks/challenges and other fundraising projects supporting the organisation’s aims.
- Complete and submit designated applications on time, updating database each time.
- Write summaries on the outcomes of each project, highlighting improvements. These are to be discussed with team members for guidance of future events and campaigns.
- Work with the Head of Fundraising to achieve frequent, timely and positive fundraising schemes.
- Relay updates as and when required by the Head of Fundraising.

Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist will develop and implement the organisation's social media strategies. They will also manage various social media platforms and implement online marketing campaigns.
- Design a social media strategy that’s in line with the brand identity, the organisation’s audience, and goals.
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
- Manage and optimise organisation pages within each platform to increase the visibility of organisation’s social content.
- Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
- Managing and implementing online marketing campaigns on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Medium, Instagram and Google AdWords.
- Analyse and report social media actions on a monthly basis for successes and new opportunities.
- Continue to refine and define our social marketing process.
- In coordination with the marketing team, define campaigns, events and paid-advertising in order to implement them on various platforms that have been decided to be used.
- Become an advocate of the organisation in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
- Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications.

Web & Digital Officer

The Web & Digital Officer will maintain the organisation's website, increase online presence and inbound enquiries, manage weekly email communication to newsletter subscribers and Google AdWords campaigns.
- Maintain the organisation's website including a cohesive design, content, graphics, technical aspects, admin tools, etc.
- Manage the organisation's blog working with Marketing and Public Relations team members who assist with the blog, including helping to moderate blog comments.
- To be involved when necessary in the creation of content and loading onto the WordPress content management system.
- As part of the marketing team you will play a key role in the development and long-term strategy of the Inspirited Minds brand.
- Responsible for Inspirited Minds weekly email communication using MailChimp.
- Use a variety of tools, approaches, and work with others, to increase website traffic, inbound enquiries, and other online marketing presence.
- Perform search engine marketing and search engine optimisation duties working with third party tools such as Google Adwords and Google Analytics.
- Keeping up to date with web and design developments.
