If you do research for the university while getting your master's degree, does that count as work research experience?

If you are asking about work experience, then research that you do for university as student does not count as work experience, but count as school assignment.

Asalamualykum,

You may get a better response posting your question on this forum - http://forum.thegradcafe.com/ or http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forum.php

I think it depends on the chosen subject & also the employers.

Try booking a meeting with your career adviser at University as they will have a better idea of what is and is not accepted.

Generally speaking the more experience you have outside your education the more employable you become.

All the best - May your studies aid you in this life & the next Ameen.
