Save Yourself - Episode 24 By Mufti Menk, Ramadan 2016 Night 24

Key points

Save yourself by acknowledging and taking advice from people even if that person is younger than you.

Safeguard your tongue as silence is golden in some situations.

Develop your relationship with Allah swt & this can only be done by completing the compulsory acts such as salaah. Salaah will protect you from immorality and evil inshaa' Allah.

Surat Ta-Ha - "We have not revealed this book (Quraan) to you for it to be a source of distress". Umar Bin Al-Khattab heard four verses of Surat Ta-Ha & accepted the message of Islam. Subhana Allah. So many of us finish reading the Quraan but the message doesn't move us.

Be in the company of people who will remind you of the hereafter inshaa' Allah.

Speak to Allah swt & ask Allah swt to assist you in your problems and concerns inshaa' Allah.

Allah swt commanded Musa a.s to speak to Pharaoh in a soft & kind manner. If this was the commandment for Pharaoh then imagine the patience and kindness we should display to our parents, family, friends, community etc.

FINAL EPISODE - Save Yourself - Episode 27 By Mufti Menk, Ramadan 2016 Night 27

Key Points

The true believers follow the laws of Allah swt even if it seems as though the laws are not in their favour.

The best way to save yourself from your sins is to ask for forgiveness. 100 x a day is recommended. The prophet SAW used to seek for forgiveness even though he didn't need to be forgiven & whilst you are seeking for forgiveness Allah swt will hold back a punishment which was coming your way. Subhana Allah.
