Keep in mind I live in the US, and the job market here is different than in the UK, where most of you live...
plan a)get a BS in economics, apply for graduate school (since an undergrad in economics doesn't et you very far), go to graduate school, and *possibly* get married while getting my master's (I say possibly because I still am in love with that girl 5 years younger) problem with this plan is that I may not get accepted into grad school, and also while in grad school ill barely make enough to support myself
b) get a dual degree in accounting and economics. then work as an accountant while getting my master's in economics (problem with this is that I may get burned out, meaning exhausted)
c) just get a bachelor's in accounting and either get a job or go to grad school and then get married after grad school, since id have to wait for my crush to get older....(the problem with this is that accounting is more business oriented rather than politics oriented, and I want to be influential in politics, and I love economics, especially macroeconomics, more than accounting)

just make sure you can manage your debt.. seems to be a big thing in America..

it seems education is becoming an elitist past time.

as long as you graduate you should have something already lined up alongside your rolled up paper.

Maybe you should research which one has better job opportunities and openings?

...pick that one and then progress and change as you build your foundations..

work is just a matter of stepping stones..

and also maybe your wife might like nice things.. not wet dogs.
