ULTRACREPIDARIANISM

Ultracrepidarianism is the habit of giving opinions and advice on matters outside of one's knowledge.

just because youre great at something doesnt mean youre good at everything
are you qualified
do you have the relative experience and insight
how serious is the matter
can you truly help
are you helping or taking sides
are you being judgemental
do you know the whole story
does the matter even warrant advice
maybe someone needs guiding to others and not to your opinion
is your opinion/advice correct ? how do you know
have you experienced something similar and came out to be experienced enough to benefit others
please fear allah in giving advice without experience, knowledge and insight
expertise experience and relevant training is seriously needed in our mosques and communities to deal with todays challenges.synergy and consultations must now override ego and power struggles

we have got to get our act together ..simply put

and allah knows best

lol I spent many summers on work experience in a pharmacy..

I stopped listing all the different ones on my cv.

I finally ended up doing an mpharm degree.

during final year, after passing my professional and law and whatever else you would care to mention..

I was worried about a few things and aired them as answers to questions.

...the lecturer was not amused.

I returned home, beard in hand rather than a degree.

worked menial jobs within the pharmacy for years.. often incompetently it would seem.

before finally being shamed and ushered out the door..

changes in rules and regulations.

such a sad state for someone trained to improve your quality of life and look after you when you need it.

the look on my face.

you are right, knowledge is not power..

application of knowledge is power.

and in the difference between the two is an understanding of Allah swt.

now I keep my mouth shut, I hate playing the fool..

you could trip me just by walking past I presume.

Sometimes I miss my high horse..

I realise I may never get a lambourghini.

jazakallah,yes
just knowing something is not good enough
analysis , meditation and consultation before action is required
in other words be super critical in order to achieve at least something average
