In absence of a hard limit, populations grow or decline exponentially. In presence of such limit, population grows logistically, with slowing growth when reaching the neighbourhood of the limit:

In theory, since we only have one planet, we should at some point start growing logistically. In practice, advances in technology have kept pushing up the carrying capacity. The reduction in growth rate of the last decades has not been the result of reaching the carrying capacity but of population policies. Population policies are a bit dangerous, because they also reduce the population's ability to rebound in the face of adversity. If the population size grows in the neighbourhood of the carrying capacity, the effects would be visible long before reaching it. There is no need for political intervention to achieve this. Nature does this automatically. The idea that there could be overpopulation is quite misguided, because the ecosystem will always end up pushing back any population below its carrying capacity, while human intervention will just be misguided in one way or another.

The different growth rates per religion:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_fertility_rate
Replacement fertility is the total fertility rate at which women give birth to enough babies to sustain population levels. The replacement fertility rate is roughly 2.0 births per woman for most industrialized countries (2.075 in the UK, for example), but ranges from 2.5 to 3.3 in developing countries because of higher mortality rates. Taken globally, the total fertility rate at replacement is 2.33 children per woman. At this rate, global population growth would tend towards zero.

Below replacement fertility, the population starts shrinking exponentially, while the average individual will be increasingly older. There is no bottom to this process, except for zero. According to the number, unless they manage to do something about it -- unlikely -- the non-religious populations who were sure that they knew it all, are clearly going the way of the dinosaur. It is quite improbably that they will be able to reverse the process. Once people have extensively organized themselves not to reproduce, they will indeed not. We can rather expect the birth rate of atheists to further collapse and implode.

The only way for atheism to survive its own failures, is for these secularists to convince the children of religious people to abandon their religion. They try this by using their control over the atheist State to infiltrate education of the children of religious people. They want to convince these children to die out with them. Hence, beware of State-run schools. Never trust the State and never trust its schools. In the one, singular God we trust, and in nothing else.
