Allah helped me

Asalamwalekum brothers and sisters. So something happened today and I thought it's worth sharing.

So I work for a big mnc and I report into a Muslim employer. There was a discussion about my promotion around 4 months back . My employer said he will take care of everything and asked me not to worry about it during my appraisal cycle . So having trusted in a Muslim I did not really worry about it up until today.

So today was finally the day when I realised I have been told all sorts of lies all this while . I felt cheated so I decided to ask him why did he do this to which he said oh i am sorry I missed it lets see what we can do ( I could make out very clearly that he is again lying to me) . Anyways I felt cheated and i cried a lot not because I wasnt promoted but because I felt cheated.

Then something happened like out of no where I felt like why are you crying what is it that you desire from this world. Is Allah (swt) not sufficient for you . I found questioning myself again and again is Allah (swt) not sufficient for you. I then realised that I am crying for something thats temporary and will be of no value during my akhira.

I am alive is that not enough ☺

My wealth , my degrees and my so called promotions and achievements is not something I am gonna take once I die.

Have patience too when u got cheated cuz it increase eman and alot good virtues. And for sure sis we all die.. just ask help frm allah and belive on him.. not on any single being.. cuz all allah do and to him we return...

Good that you realized that Allah is sufficient! Never forget that everything is by His plan; there is a very good reason you did not get that promotion, but only He knows what it is. Perhaps you would have been miserable, perhaps there is something better coming along, perhaps this is a test; only Allah knows. Keep your faith in Him! :)
