The Law of Attraction from The Secret is actually a variation of Islam's position on optimism and faith. Below is a link to a video featuring various muslim speakers about the Law of Attraction, or more accurately The Law of Optimism. We should always try to watch our thoughts and words with regards to our circumstances, especially when things are tough. And we should always have gratitude with a sense of optimism.

If you read the book in question, you'll see how it is a deception which takes the very ideas of hope in Allah and reroutes that to belief in only yourself and the mysteries of the universe - which by Islamic definition, is Shirk.

What.. To me optimism is to be positive and have good thoughts of the future, and have hope in Allah, trust Allah, etc. Have good thoughts about Qadr.

Say that you have 3-4 exams coming up. You rely on Allah, trust Allah, and do your best, thinking positively. Obviously, thinking that you, and you alone, can make something happen, without the help of Allah, is kufr and deception.

Be like, no matter what hardships I go through, and one should know that one will be tried, but the loser is one who fails his hardships, and the winner is one who overcomes it.

The trial may be that you failed in an Exam, what you do afterwards is what matters.

Allahu alam.

Well said.

The book titled The Secret, promotes shirk very cleverly. That is all.

Agreed. Although the movie/book The Secret is a good manual on the psychology of optimism, and how true 'faith' can get you what you wish for, they then ruin it all by saying 'The Universe' instead of Allah is what is responsible for your blessings in life. That book and movie would be so good if they ascribed things to Allah, and not some New Age nonsense.
