as salam Aleikum brother and sisters

would it be haram to work with a non - muslim/muslim who earns haram money?

whats the difference , if someone wants to buy something from me do i need to look to look at their background to find out if the money is haram or halal? for example if a white person buys an item from me , i usually presume their money would be mixed with clean and haram money , i have doubts , help me please thank you

its been on my mind for a long time

so i met a few religious local brothers, they came for some pink tea and to give me dawah..

i gave them a discount.

they have returned a few days later and offered me one third of the price, bear in mind i only asked them for two thirds of the price the first time. (no, this is not a maths question)

i said i couldn't do it for such a price. they returned with a ten pound note and bought two teas.. for two thirds of the price.

they wanted to talk to me and i am very apprehensive.

they are part of a ziker group and stress the importance of attending these gatherings.

and have been eager to stress that allah swt will increase my business through dua and rememberence.

they seem to have the idea that i am not religious because i am not part of the group.

this bothered me a little and so i told them that i spend a lot of time reading.. and am currently memorising such a such..

although only in response to the brothers telling me about a kantonese man whom they are inviting to islam at present.

but they were very eager to suggest that allah swt will increase me through dua and rememberence.

in the end i told them that i am ok with struggling, i know that everything that i am given is from allah swt and i am ok with it.

i dont chase money and if increase comes it is only by the will of allah swt.

and i do not persue wealth..

and as tests go i would rather not trade up for anything..

please, make dua for understanding.

i seek refuge in allah swt.

the end.

....probably one of the longest posts i have written.

there is no compulsion in religion.

...its a paradox.. not a Contradiction.

http://www.ainycooks.com/kashmiri-te...-tea-nut-chai/

for something as simple as tea, i couldnt get it right for two years.

its the problem with being self taught..

and also the youtube cut away.

i almost gave up and used food colouring once or twice.. glad i didnt.

yes i am dense.

as always, documenting the overreaction is a learning process.

i could probably teach you how to make it in about 15 minutes..

the destination is probably more important than the journey.

i could go on about it for ages, its much easier to talk about than religion.

as for OPs question..

the world does not take kindly to idealists, it has no use for them..

the best you can do is make your own living, products and services clean.. and then convince others to also do the same.

it is not easy when livelihoods are at stake.

everybody loses the ethics at some point..

buying, selling.. whatever.

I stick with Falooda instead

yeah i stopped making it myself..

my grandma passed away and the whole pink tea situation got out of hand.

...ever get that really weird feeling when you know something aint quite right?

anyway..

you can stop the saltiness of it by adding sugar!!! lol.

mine honestly does not taste bad after lots of trial and error.

if you ever feel the need to make it again, boil the milk seperately and add sugar to the milk.

then add the tea to the boiled milk and bring back to heat again.

Inna lillahi wa Inna ilayihi rajeoon. May Allah forgive her sins, lighten her grave, shade her on the day of judgment, save her from hellfire, grant her jannat ul firdoas and reunite her with loved ones, ameen.

Hmm, I might try that!
