What is the ruling on selling alcohol in places like supermarkets like if a customer walks up & you have to ring their alcohol

Should I wear gloves, etc...? (a lot of times manager is not there or a different worker is not there & I am only one inside store esp during their lunch hours)

I have a part-time job & have not come across one yet

So in case I do I would like to know what to do

It is not permissible to work as bar tender or somewhere where alcohol is sold, like a shop which sells alcohol. So it is better for you that you try and search for a new job and Inshallah you will get one. As long as you do not get one, and you have no other way to feed yourself, then you might work here but you must try to change your work place to a different one where no Haram activities are associated. Hope this helps.
