Salam,

My name is El hassen, I have one question, my question is that:

Everyone knows that facebook is a big social network website where millions of people visit daily.

I am an affiliate marketer, i post links in internet ( facebook, google+, forums, twitter .... to buy products) and i earn commission when people buy products from my links.

I created a fake facebook girl account ( i followed a marketing guide on PDF) so that i can have more friends and people are comfortable with a girl proposing a product that man.

After I reached 1000 friends on facebook, i started to post links for my friends, and these friends started to buy the products i'm promoting.

So, even the account is fake, but those people bought the products by their own so , Money which I make from this account will be haram for me or halal ?

Please provide me answer. Thank you.

Kindly proceed with doing your business from your own personal account / business page. Please do not use a girl's account which is fake. You in that way are doing a fraudulent business by cheating your customers in to believing that a girl is selling these. It doesn't matter whether they buy it on their free will or not, you're basically doing a fraudulent activity by fooling them. There's a Hadith, where a person once was selling grains. He put the dry grains at top, and he put the wet ones, the bad ones at the bottom so people can only see the top which looks fresh. The Prophet came and put hand inside the sack and he saw that the grains inside the sack are bad. And he told to the shopkeeper not to cheat the people, and he said "the one who cheats is not one of us (my Ummah)". Hence even though the people are buying it on their free will, but you are approaching them in a Haram way which is wrong. Additionally, you using a girl's account and her picture is totally Haram on your side, you're removing the chastity of a chaste women and that's a major sin in Islam. So please refrain from doing such business. There are thousands of Halal businesses in this world, please do something Halal for the sake of Allah, or at least do it with your own profile. Hope this helps.

The brother is selling good products, not bad products, only he is using attractive woman. This is very common in business, but maybe a grey area? I don't know.

Edit: "The Prophet (SAW) says when you are doubtful; “That which is lawful is clear, and that which is unlawful is also quite clear. Between these two is that which is ambiguous, which most people do not know. One who avoids the doubtful safeguards his faith and his honor.”
(Riyadh-us-Salaheen, Hadith 588)

I didn't say he is selling bad products. But his method is totally wrong. Why would you use a beautiful girl's picture without her "consent"? What if that beautiful girl is my sister, my daughter, my wife, my mother? Who knows from where he took it? It's not his, and he has ZERO RIGHT to use it. You're removing the chastity of a chaste women and that's if am not wrong, the 7th major sin in Islam. Far more great of a sin than cheating people. You know how many women in this world commit suicide every now and then because of these so called "halal business" of using their innocent pictures to do haram things? It's a lot, am telling you. So please don't appreciate such haram activities, it will only destroy this world and bring no benefit to the people.
And you rightly said, if something is doubtful, avoiding it is the solution. So when he is doubtful as in now, then he should stop such business or at least, stop using girl's picture illegally. It's cyber crime, if you didn't already know.

:sl:

I think you haven't know about affiliate marketing and tricks that used by some affiliate marketers. So you don't understand the point in brother shafat10 posts. This is not about model in advert like your assumption.

What the OP did was creating Facebook account with fake profile. He uses fake name, and I am sure, he uses photo of an attractive girl as the profile picture which he pretend as the girl in photo. My question for the OP, does he get permission from the girl in photo?. Or, like some other internet marketers, he stole that photo from the web and use it without that girl consent?.

FYI. My side job is affiliate marketer. So I know the tricks that used by some affiliate marketer.

If she exposes herself, it's her problem. Not yours. You don't have the right to use her picture just because "she exposed herself". It's a matter between her and her Lord, you should be least concerned about that. It's a crime to use someone's picture illegally, in Islam, and also in every country's cyber law. It's not that difficult to understand. May Allah help us all.

Yes it's a crime but what I mean is it's her fault she is the one he posted it and to the point that random people on the internet have access to it it's because she's irresponsible and I never justified it because I said that he is spreading sin you know every person who gets a sin by not lowering there gaze the person who spreaded the image gets the sin too

Yes she posted it. But that doesn't justify anyone to not lower their gaze or to use it illegally. That's all am saying. Anyways, I hope the OP got his answer and I hope he will act accordingly. Inshallah.
