In Islam we have such financial obligations such as providing for parents,etc... and has the opportunity to choose a career with which they can make a lot of money and be able to fulfill those rights..... or work less hard and choose a lesser paying and still be able to fulfill those rights....

Lets say the person chooses the 2nd option.

Now if they become poor later on, is that on them, because they chose not to pick the higher paying job? Would they be blamed by Allah if they cannot fulfill those rights because of not being able to afford it, but had they just worked harder, they would be able to afford them?


I just feel like the concept of Rizq is tough to understand in our economy system today, where you aren't necessary living day by day on the farm, but get a salary and food at the grocery store....
