Fasting during Ramadan is only fard for those who are healthy enough to be able to fast. Allah does not want to burden us beyond our limits if we are not physically able to fast and in fact it would be a sin to continue fasting if we know it is harming our physical and or mental health. This maybe because of being unable to hydrate, condone food and/or take internal medication throughout the day particularly if the fasts are long.

Therefore I would urge you to see a Muslim Doctor or preferably a specialist in the field of your condition immediately. This is because a Muslim Doctor would understand the importance of fasting and would therefore be able to advise you accordingly and will be able to assess that against the severity of your condition and the impact fasting will have on your physical health. Also whether you will need to adjust your diet and or take any particular medication etc. So please book an appointment immediately.

If you need anything else please let us know.
