BREAKING NEWS: Police dealing with an 'incident' on London Bridge

London police responded tonight to reports of a vehicle plowing into pedestrians on London Bridge, and then shortly afterwards also faced reports of stabbings at Borough Market and another incident in the Vauxhall area.In a statement, United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May confirmed an "incident" that "is being treated as a potential act of terrorism."“This is a fast-moving investigation," she said. "I want to express my huge gratitude to the police and emergency services who are on the scene. Our thoughts are with those who are caught up in these dreadful events.”The London Ambulance Service tweeted: "Multiple resources attending an incident at #LondonBridge, please avoid the area." Transport for London also tweeted that the bridge was closed in both directions due to a "major incident."The BBC is reporting that more than one person is dead in the London Bridge incident.

Metropolitan Police also reported that they responded to a reports of stabbings in Borough Market, and after officers responded "shots have been fired."Police also reported an unspecified incident at Vauxhall, though Transport for London tweeted that the Tube station there has since reopened.Metropolitan Police also tweeted a warning, telling people in the areas to run to safety, hide and then call police if it is safe to do so.London Bridge is normally crowded on Saturday nights, and Borough Market is a popular area packed with bars and restaurants a short distance from the bridge.President Donald Trump was briefed on the situation, according to the White House. According to federal law enforcement and national security officials, the National Security Council is monitoring the situation as are the appropriate elements of the FBI and Homeland Security. The situation was described as ongoing and dangerous.BBC reporter Holly Jones, who was on the bridge at the time, told the network several people were hurt after a white van swerved and hit a crowd of people while it was crossing London Bridge.

"A white van driver came speeding -- probably about 50 mph -- veered off the road into the crowds of people who were walking along the pavement," she told BBC News. "He swerved right round me and then hit about five or six people. He hit about two people in front of me and then three behind. I'd say there are about four severely injured people. They all have paramedics assisting them at the moment."She said there were about four people severely injured and that some 20 armed police officers on the scene.People in the area tweeted video and images of the scene, showing police responding and injured people being treated.

Disgusting!

If these evil human beings turn out to be Muslims, these "Muslims" should be ashamed because they are now desecrating the month of Shahru Ramadan when they spill innocent peoples' blood, not to mention the obvious that killing innocent people is an abomination that Allah will punish in the hereafter.

Please, all peoples in U.K. should also be careful to not walk in places unnecessarily if they can avoid it due to the high terrorism alert on which the U.K. has placed the nation since the last attack, (a) because not only do terrorists not care whom they mow down in their evil rampage (i.e. Muslims or non-Muslims), (b) events like these are also likely to stoke the fires of vengeance in some non-Muslims who are going to be feeling their entire society is under attack, especially as the Ariana Grande attack was not that long ago and not enough time has passed for the wounds to heal, that they might feel within their rights to also in return perpetrate potentially some injustice against innocent Muslims that include killing in retaliation.

Unfortunately, there are no good solutions except to remain united on the truth that terrorists do not represent anyone but themselves, and we as a collective condemn their evil without reservation and hope that the victims and their families are able to move forward from the tragedy in a positive way.

These terrorists never take a break. Not even for Ramadan. Before commenting further, I will wait for more detail to come in.

Fox News Host Disavows Internment Camps, After Panelists Suggest Rounding Up Muslims
Fox News guest and Brexit leader Nigel Farage touted the idea in the wake of Saturday’s attack in London.
By Marina Fang
A Fox News host on Sunday clarified his own position on internment camps, denouncing them as “reprehensible,” after two panelists on the network suggested rounding up British Muslims in response to Saturday night’s terror attack in London.

Clayton Morris, a host of “Fox and Friends Weekend,” made the statement on behalf of the network.

“Earlier on the show, we had a couple of guests mention the word ‘internment,’ the idea of internment camps, as a possible solution to this,” he said. “I think I made it well known my feeling on that, which I find reprehensible, but on behalf of the network, I think all of us here find that reprehensible here at Fox News Channel, just to be clear.”

On Sunday, two of the show’s guests, including Brexit leader Nigel Farage, now a Fox News contributor, had touted the idea of internment camps.

“We want genuine action, and if there is not action, then the calls for internment will grow,” Farage said. “We have over 3,000 people on a sort of known terrorist list, and we’re watching, monitoring their activities. But [there are] a further 20,000 people who are persons of interest, namely they’re linked in some way to extremist organizations. Unless we see the government getting tough, you will see public calls for those 3,000 to be arrested.”

Farage conceded that “we might alienate decent, fair-minded Muslims in Britain.”

In a subsequent segment, Daily Mail columnist Katie Hopkins, asked about Farage’s comments, said she agreed with the idea of internment camps.

“We do need internment camps,” she said. “Before, I would have bought the idea that this gets more people radicalized — you know, that’s not the solution. But we’ve gone beyond the tipping point. This country cannot take another attack.”

President Donald Trump, a frequent Fox News viewer whose political career the network helped to elevate, has previously called for banning Muslim immigration and proposed creating a “registry” of Muslims living in the U.S.

Trump responded to Saturday’s terror attack by promoting his executive order banning travel and immigration from six majority-Muslim countries. The ban has faced multiple legal setbacks and could be headed to the Supreme Court.

In more tweets early Sunday morning, Trump feuded with London’s mayor and tried to provoke further alarm.

Some of the tweets seemed to indicate that Trump may have been watching Fox News, as he often does while posting his typical early morning tweets.

On “Fox and Friends Weekend,” Morris said: “Notice we’re not having a gun debate right now, because they didn’t kill with guns. They killed with knives. They killed with an ideology.”

An hour later, Trump tweeted something similar.

Do you notice we are not having a gun debate right now? That's because they used knives and a truck!

Following the Terror attacks in London on Saturday 3rd of June 2017 - the world wonders why Muslims do not condemn the terror attacks in the media - the reason is simple - Muslims are not represented fairly in ANY media - and so it is up to us, as Muslims to attempt to reach as many people and let them hear our Islamic understanding of these events, and those behind them.

This is our condemnation of Terrorism, please share this video around to your friends and family and anyone who may benefit, Ameen!

God bless us all, and keep us safe from harm, Ameen,

A Very Special Thank You to the Muslim brothers, Paul and Mansur who gave us the opportunity to film them for our viewers - please do share this video with all who may benefit and further, keep both our brothers in du'aa.

Nothing we say or do will ever be good enough. How many years have we been told that we need to condemn such and such, and when we do, it's always a "meh, not good enough" type response. Then they make the idiotic claim that we need to weed them out of our communities as if Muslims have some sort of telepathic relationship with one another. Even then, in cases where family/friends report a possible suspicion about someone they know, these people will simply blame the religion as a last resort.

It's like a disbeliever asking for proof and when a miracle is performed, they resort to calling it magic. Some people will never be satisfied

:salam:

Sad, really sad. In Ramadhan too. It is also sad that the same government that hate "terrorists" are themselves. (They bomb innocents too, and more than any ISIS member has)

US, UK, and anyone who bombs innocents, are infact supporting ISIS' deviant practices of killing innocents, indirectly!
The double standards.

Allahu alam.

it's NEVER good enough for the unreasonable types. True. Thank Allah, reason is not something altogether lost in the world, the comment section of the video is showing this! If we can reach one soul and make it understand that this is not Islam, then job done. Alhamdulillah we've reached more than one!

true, but that does not mean we stop trying - because some people will align with the message in the video and do their own research. This is dawah! And dawah comes in many forms!

God bless,

John Oliver destroys US media over London attack coverage: 'In no way is Britain under siege'
Isabelle Gerretsen,International Business Times 12 hours ago
British satirist John Oliver slammed US media coverage of the London Bridge attack on Sunday's (4 June) episode of Last Week Tonight.

The comedian, known for his acerbic wit and forthright manner, criticised US broadcasters and journalists for their "insulting" coverage of the terror attack, which left at least seven dead and 48 injured.

"I feel compelled to address a certain theme that emerged through American coverage of this tragedy," he told his audience.

He was referring to US headlines and TV reports that claimed Britain was engulfed by fear after the attack.

The New York Times headline stated that terrorists targeted London as the country was "still reeling" from the bombing at Manchester Arena on 22 May. A clip broadcast by CNN and Fox News said that Britain was "under siege" following the attack.

Oliver condemned the tone of these media reports and said it was "insulting" for journalists to say that British people were overcome by fear.

"In no way is Britain under siege," Oliver declared. "Is it upset? Yes. Is it p****d off? Oh you f*****g bet it's p****d off. But to say it is under siege and that people are reeling is to imply that it is somehow weak enough to be brought to its knees by three monumental a***holes."
He said that British people were so irritated by the US headlines that they started sharing examples on Twitter of things that actually leave British people feeling shellshocked, with the hashtag 'Things That Leave Britain Reeling.'

One man wrote: "Accidental eye contact on the tube or in a lift #ThingsThatLeaveBritainReeling."

Another person said: "When people make tea in the microwave #ThingsThatLeaveBritainReeling."

Other incidents which cause Britons to panic were said to include "putting empty wrappers back into a tin of Quality Street" and "when Americans refer to our language as 'British English'".

Oliver was not the only person angry about US coverage of the attack. Financial Times editor Lionel Barber wrote on Twitter: "Reeling? Really? You don't know London."

British author Robert Harris also condemned the New York Times headline, commenting: "This sort of hyped-up headline does the terrorists' job for them. UK isn't 'reeling'".

Comedian and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb star Ricky Gervais used more incendiary language to criticise the media reports. "503 tons of high explosive and 30,000 incendiary bombs were dropped in London during the war. We're not reeling. We're just saying F*ck you!" he wrote.

we have to focus on our islah and ibaadah
maintain balance in some time online but more in worship and duas

i personally believe all these trials are ultimately for us to turn to allah taala
and to improve our relationships with all

we may think we have nothing to prove ,but just look at our communities states
if we were shining examples ,maybe we would not have had to explain ourselves
