We all know that Ramadan is the 9th month in the Islamic/Hijry Calendar. However, you’ll discover after reading the following Hadith that Ramadan is the real beginning.

The messenger of Allah peace be upon him said about Sha’ban:

“That’s a month the people neglect it between Rajab and Ramadan, and in that month- Shaban- the people deeds are raised to the Lord of mankind, so I love to be fasting, while my deeds are raised”

At the end of the year, all what you’ve done in that year, all the deeds are raised to Allah. That’s exactly what happens in Sha’ban.

While at the beginning of every New Year, you start to make up your plans for the whole year. You plan to stop bad habits. Probably, you’ll plan to stick to new good habits and you decide your goals for the rest of the year. Read this article to know more how to make Ramadan a fresh start
