Dates for last 10 Nights of Ramadan & Laylatul Qadr - UK - 2018

So valuable is Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Power) that the Allah devotes a special surah to it and refers to it as a night that is “better than a thousand months” [97:3]

Abu Huraira (Ra) narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever stands (in prayer) in Laylatul Qadr while nourishing his faith with self-evaluation, expecting reward from Allah, will have all of his previous sins forgiven.” (Bukhari and Muslim).

So worship in this one night is better than 30,000 nights which is over 83 YEARS OF WORSHIP and an entire lifetime of sins wiped out! Subhanallah! No one wih any sense would want to miss out on such a valuable opportunity!

According to authentic narrations Laylatul Qadr can be found in any of the last ten nights of Ramadan. So we should try our utmost to worship in all of the last ten nights of Ramadan to guarantee that we have caught this auspicious night. But If we cannot worship in all of the last ten nights then at least in as many as we can manage particularly in the odd numbered of the last 10 nights of Ramadan: 21st night, 23rd, 25th, 27th & 29th nights.

If we still cannot worship all of the the last odd numbered nights then at least as many as we can possibly manage or lastly if we can only worship on one night then at least on the 27th night, which many narrations state to be the most likely night. But it is not guaranteed unless we must worship in as many of the last 10 nights as we possibly can.

The Dates for the last ten nights of Ramadan in the Uk 2018 are:

NOTE: If your not from the UK then check the dates with your local Masjid or Islamic Centre

22nd Night - Wednesday 6th June - From Maghrib until Fajr

23rd Night - Thursday 7th June - From Maghrib until Fajr

24th Night - Friday 8th June - From Maghrib until Fajr

25th Night - Saturday 9th June - From Maghrib until Fajr

26th Night - Sunday 10th June - From Maghrib until Fajr

27th Night - Monday 11th June - From Maghrib until Fajr

28th Night - Tuesday 12th of June - From Maghrib until Fajr.

29th Night - Wednesday 13th June - From Maghrib until Fajr

30th Night - Thursday 14th June - From Maghrib until Fajr.

If Ramadan is 29 days then Eid Ul Fitr will be - Friday 15th June.

If Ramadan is 30 days then Eid ul Fitr will be on - Saturday 16th June Insha'Allah

Remember: It is only 10 nights in the whole year. With just a little effort we can gain unimaginable rewards and forgiveness of all sins!

So make the commitment now!

That we will leave all distractions and devote ourselves in worship in all of the last 10 nights, if not then at least in as many of the last 10 blessed nights as we can manage especially in the odd numbered nights.

During these nights we should reflect and worship Allah with full sincerity, hope of huge rewards and forgiveness for an entire lifetime of sins. These nights are the best opportunity for us to re-evaluate ourselves and re-focus on the bigger picture which is to spend our lives pleasing and getting closer to Allah, obeying his commands wholeheartedly, stawying away from anything that may anger and displease him, constantly asking for forgiveness, being grateful to him and to rid our hearts for the love of this dunya (world) and to instead work, invest and have love for our eternal home - The Hereafter.

So remember that our time is very short and that this may well be our very last Ramadan as it was the last Ramadan for so many. So let us grab this valuable opportunity whilst we are alive because if death takes us whilst we are heedless then we will wsh to go back to do good but we will never be given another opportunity again!

Almighty Allah says: And they will cry out therein (In Hell), "Our Lord, remove us; we will do righteousness - other than what we were doing!" But did We not grant you life enough for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you? So taste [the punishment], for there is not for the wrongdoers any helper. (35:37)
