Read the last paragraph:
"With respect to drawing impressions of a face in inanimate objects, this will not be allowed, since by doing so, you will be trying to put a type of human life in an object that does not have it, and this is strictly prohibited."
The abstract drawing above shows the mouth and teeth mixed in with some weird animate looking shapes.
I'm not saying it is clear cut haram in accordance with scholarly understanding but my sister surely it is better for us to keep away from grey areas or where we are on the verge of something that is not permissable. A lot of abstract type of art contains animate shapes and features portrayed in a very sexual, twisted and with dark connotations.
If we leave something for Allah to safeguard ourselves then that will be far better for us. Instead stick to calligraphy or drawing of inanimate art.
And Allah knows best in all matters
