For a while, but not so much anymore (at least not reported in the media), there was a period during the Mid 2p0p0pp0s up until a couple years ago, there was rash of mysterious fires particularly in Saudi, Kuwait, Oman and Egypt. The fires were weird and so inevitably were blamed on djinn. A few of the cases are featured in this video Djinn Encounters Across the Arab World
