Would it count as 'zina of the eyes' if I looked at a girl's social media profile, due to her living far away and me loving her? also, i am concerned it has gone beyond mere glances here and there......i literally saved the girl's twitter profile picture as a document on my computer so that that way, if she changes her profile picture, I still have the memory. Due to me not seeing or hearing from her in years due to me moving and her living far away (especially now that she got accepted to a university far from her home, but nonetheless in her state) i yearn for her and constantly try to find as many social media accounts and info of her as possible. i even read her tweets and retweets. EDIT: I understand people keep advising me to keep myself busy and exercise, but I can't help it....I'm addicted to the computer and love this girl......and I'm not in a position to marry her yet....I also suffer from depression

Brother, you shouldnt stalk her like that, its not right, nothing we say is going to make it halal :D

The best thing to do is delete her pic, then forget about her.

My brother looking at that which is not permissable is zina of that particular body part and we must remember that each of our body parts will testify against us on the day of Judgement for any evils we committed to the point where we will start cursing our body parts as to why they are testifying against us. This is another reminder that our body does not belong to us. We are essentially "borrowing" it and we will be accountable as to how we used it.

This is from the whispers and deceptions of shaythan when he reminds us about a particular member of the opposite gender either that we once knew or a famous celebrity etc. He then prompts us to search about them on internet/social media and to follow their posts, pictures etc until infatuation takes hold. Then we begin to fantasize about them until we become obsessed.

Do you see how each step leads to another? This obsession is not only a waste of time but it is a "trigger" that may lead to other evils. So we must prevent ourselves from taking the first step and if we have then we must stop right there and not take any further steps.

Please watch the videos deos in this thread as it will help you to recognise the plots, plans and deceptions of shaythan:
