If I wanted to name my baby boys surname after my grandfather's (Ghani) will that be allowed. Basically my father didn't have his father's surname but I have my father's surname. I wanted my son to have my grandfather's surname as he passed away when I was little and wanted to bring back his name to my bloodline.

However, does is need to have Abdul before it? I want my son's first name to be Zain. So Zain Ghani, will this be haram or frowned up on?
