My friend's father, though, said Said Nursi was the Mahdi. (but wait, does that make Mustafa Kemal Ataturk the dajjal? or materialism the dajjal? I doubt the former)

Slow day today..

To the best of my understanding..i can read o_o

He says the idea of the mahdi is both of a concept and an individual..

And so he is relevant to each age..

The concept being that the righteous upholders of religion throughout the ages are the mahdi..in duty..rather than title.

But that the actual mahdi is the one at the end of time.

The idea that the power comes from the community is a nice touch..

I keep wanting to make iron fist references! but i feel it innapropriate.

Each age has champions of religion and you could go on all day about those that forwarded the religion and those that opposed or misrepresented it..

But i suppose the wise men would say, there are more to come yet..

Its an ego thing maybe.

But yeah, most things are heresy.

Quran 47:22-23

You cant fake it or you wont like it.

Its just a concept and should not be taken literally though..

We dont want to end up searching for the dalai lama or what not.
