Salam alaikum. Can you explain this verse. "So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every good thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were then in despair." (An'am 6:44) does the word "seize" mean death or is it talking about a punishment in this world?. This verse applies to me because I was sick a long time then I complained and my Iman dropped. I was angry with God. Suddenly I was hit by a severe punishment and I've lost all hope of anything. Im about to die soon I think. Do I still have chance to return to Islam and will Allah accept me?. Or am I doomed?. Thank you

:wasalam:

As long as you are alive, the doors of repentance are still open. Never lose hope in the mercy of Allah.

Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet :saws: said, "Allah, the Exalted, stretches His Hand during the night so that those who commit sins by day may repent, and He stretches His Hand in the day so that those who commit sins by night may repent. He keeps doing so until the sun rises from the West". [Muslim]

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah :ra: that the Prophet :saws: said:
If you were to commit sin until your sins reach the heaven, then you were to repent, your repentance would be accepted.” [ibn Majah]

But that is only for Muslims. I lost my faith my heart became hard and I can't believe anymore. But I know Islam is real and Allah the only God but I can't practice. I've said so many blasphemous things and wasted the whole Ramadan.

No..

So basically its about a people that knew.

And the only way to forget when you already know, is to be given a thing..

So they were given.. many a thing.

And when they were in a state of.. rejoicing.. about the things they had been given..

They got to the beginning of the circle again..
..
..

I sell icecream for a living.. and winter is coming.

Although its probably my last season here.
..
..

I have been in and out of hospital since i was 2..

I never once thought to be angry about that particular thing though..

I suppose we are all reminded by different methods.

I think what you reference applies to a different sort of people..

Although its just an imo.

I am a very serious man these days.. i have been started and finished many a time.

I dont know who the illness belongs too though.

As long as you believe in Allah and His messenger, you are a Muslim. Now you have the time and chance to repent from previous sins by being remorseful about them and firmly resolving not to repeat them again.

If you are not well, you should at least try to practice the bare minimum. Start with your daily 5 prayers. If you cannot stand on your feet, you can pray while being seated. You still have time, try not to waste it. Life and time is an opportunity that doesn't return once gone. Utilize it to build your home in the hereafter.
