My oldest sister is very depressed, she has been for a long time. We are her family not miracle workers and my parents have always tried to be so reasonable with her but everytime she throws it back in their face. My dad doesn't talk to her anymore. She could've had a good life if she didn't want to live like a gori instead. Shes well educated but she does not understand this family because she's lived away for many years until over a year ago. She is not interested in Islam. But we have seen some potential in her we went to pakistan while ago and she got on well with our family. Yet she comes back here and threw it all away and shouts and our mom who is very ill. My sister not only ruined her own life and my parents but its really affected me too because I'm in my 30s and my parents lost all their trust because of my sister and I cannot meet up with friends and behave like a woman that I am. Sure I have no plans to get married (my decision), I even have illnesses but that doesn't mean I should not have a life of my own. My family can't talk to her like a normal person because we're actually afraid of her. My mom was unconscious a few weeks ago after an argument with her because whenshe's upset it can get too much for her. My sister didn't bother checking if she was ok. No apology. After all the suffering my mom has gone through she still gets up everyday and works. Employment work that is. While my sister sits depressed all day apparently she can't find work here or she's 'too over qualified'. She did lots of media work before in different places around the UK. But that doesn't mean she can't work in retail or something for a while...very snobby.

1)-Wake up during the last part of night, pray 2 rakahs, and make dua.
2)-Enjoin goodness upon your Parents.Tell them to offer their prayers.
3)-To remove their stress,The best method there is,is Salah. It is proven from an authentic narration that the Prophet(Peace and Blessings be upon him),ordered Bilal,May Allah be pleased with him,to say the Adhan, when he himself was in stress,Peace and blessings be upon him.
4)-I have space to advice you.So here is something which is my personal experience.LISTEN QURAN RECITATIONS.IT EASES YOUR SOUL.ESPECIALLY YOUR PARENTS.MAKE THEM LISTEN TO QURAN RECITATIONS.
SHOW THEM TO YOUR SISTER AS WELL.
Trying it is better then not trying it right?
Also.
There is a narration in Saheeh Muslim, that a man who had committed 100 murders wanted to repent. So he went to a scholor and asked him if his sin was going to be forgiven at all.He had committed 100 unjust murders.
Do you know what he advised him?
He said your sin will be forgiven. But,
HE ADVISED HIM TO GO TO ANOTHER PLACE,BECAUSE THERE WERE RIGHTEOUS AND PIOUS PEOPLE LIVING THERE.
Meaning,he told him to keep good company.
In return for 100 murders!
So it is a must to change the company of your sister.
Go to another place.
And one last advice.
This may truly work.
GO FOR UMRAH.YOUR WHOLE FAMILY.
I HAVE SEEN GREATEST OF SINNERS RETURN BACK TO ALLAH IN THIS WAY.
DO IT NOW.
BUT,WHEN RAMADAN COMES,IT IS A MUST TO GO THERE.THE TARAWEEH AT MAKKAH,IS SOMETHING WHICH SOFTENS THE HEART.
