Hello, so I just have some questions about marriage and divorce.

Are you allowed to divorce in Islam? What are the rules regarding that?

Also, this is a question related to divorce and sexual acts.
What happens if you're married for however long and you decide to get a divorce. The main reasons being abuse, neglect, financial instability etc.. Or something like that that leads you to hating that person and not wanting be in a relationship with them anymore.
So if it doesn't work out and you've already had intercourse with them, then what? Surely you cant be a widow for the rest of your life.
Then you move on and marry someone else, but since sex before marriage isn't allowed in Islam, so you're saving it for that special person you'll marry and the idea of waiting is meant to be special because you're doing it with someone you love and you're showing your beauty only to your husband.
However, if you're divorced and get married again, it wouldn't be special anymore so wouldn't that disagree with the concept?

Yes divorce is permissible in Islam. Virginity isn't a prerequisite for marriage. The Prophet s.a.a.w. and his companions married divorcee wives who obviously had intimacy with their former husbands. My wife and I are on our second marriage and we both had kids from previous marriages.

Divorce is allowed for both genders, its totally fine to marry divorcees etc, the prophet pbuh's first wife Khadija RA was a widow who had previously had children with her ex husband.

in the Quran it will describe the principals of divorce.. i would always advice people to read up themselves, as it allows us to take responsibility for our own effort to seek truth.. the middle part has been answered by the members, but the last part is a interesting question, and again islam is not an impractical religion.. but yes in many cases we have complicated it.. marrying be it first time, or second or third, has nothing to do with the image of having to marry a virgin, preference shouldnt be confused with options we are Divinely given.. or misunderstandings of man made concepts through unhealthy culture .. ie as you have said, beauty is only for husband, means that a lady isnt going around freely sleeping with every tom dick and harry, that who ever she is serious with for marriage, becomes the only man she will display her self with intimately when they marry... if we observe universally, it is a loyal wife, as is a loyal husband emotionally and sexually available for one another.. isnt it always special with the person you love.irrelevant if they had previous relationships/marriage.. ?

The rules for divorce is that it should be avoided as much as possible. The role of Islamic councils is to help married couples reconcile and resolve their issues as much as possible, and avoid issuing a divorce if they can help it. If it really can't be helped then divorce can be done by going to the Sharia Councils who take you through the process. However, financial instability as an excuse for divorce is unacceptable. Neglect has various degrees and cannot be used as an umbrella term to suggest divorce should be issued. If, for instance, your husband neglects talking you out to dinner one night should you now ask for a divorce?

The role of all sexual acts isn't so that it's special but because the consequences of sexual acts are illegitimate children, children not having a stable family and home to grow up in, and disgrace in society due to the resulting harms. All of this can be avoided when desires are satisfied within marriage. In short, family life is extremely important in Islam so it's important that all acts that destabilize or upset the family should be avoided completely.

However divorce is to be avoided if it can be (obvs if ur stuck in a horrible marriage then not). Couples should try and reconcile.

When all the efforts of reconciliation come to an end, only then this hard step can be taken
