Salams all, im a bit confused as to what constitutes intention/ niyyah. For example, if i think to myself "im gonna do wudu now to go and pray" or "right i need to do wudu now", is that valid? Thats how iv been doing my salah and wudu this whole time. Does it make my other salah and wudu invalid? Im a bit worried incase my wudu and salah etc are considered invalid or not.

Walaikumassalam, Sometimes these kind of questions would just stick to people's mind and affect their Ibadah, like was my niyyah proper or my wudhu right etc. The fact is Allah (swt) knows what is in your heart. You don't have to think it or say it to you. Most of the times these are Waswasaz from shaitan to create hindrances in your Ibadah. Allah (swt) is the most Merciful, so do wudhu or perform Salah just because Allah (swt) through His beloved Prophet has asked you to do it. Don't think of anything else.
May Allah (swt) guide us all.
