So basically what the title says. I have two issues here: 1)I was brushing my teeth after suhoor today and i was rinsing my mouth after. So when i was rinsing my mouth i felt some water go to the back of the throat but i wasnt sure,so i- kinda deliberately swilled water and- made water go to the back of my throat to try and check and see if thats what it felt like earlier. It was stupid, and i regret it now. For some stupid reason i somehow swallowed like a drop of water, i dont know, maybe it was just impulse, either way im assuming my fast is broken now and i have to make it up and do kafarrah. 2)the same day( today after suhoor/fajr) i went to bed and was on my phone. I felt kind of like an acid reflux kind of thing and stupidly swallowed. I didnt think it through but i deliberately swallowed. Afterwards it kind of sunk in what id done and i felt terrible. However after that i had acid reflux again. I wanted to confirm that i had actually swallowed it and it wasnt just me "feeling" like i had, so i swallowed again to check if the feeling matched the feeling previously. It did.I didnt swallow just for the sake of it( the second time anyway)In summary, i swallowed( acid reflux/vomit)( sorry ik its gross) deliberately twice and swallowed water once( i think i did, but i did make the water touch the back of my throat). Im assumimg my fast for this day is invalid. I know i need to make up this day but in terms of kaffara/ expiation what do i need to do? Im only 16, i cant free a slave etc. I dont want to get in trouble with folk at home :( ( they dont know aboit it)Sorry for the very long /question. I just dont want my family to find out, i feel terrible.- Does anyone have any advice? Im a bit confused abt the 60 day fasting thing as well. In that hadith the man broke his fast via intercourse, not the way i did? I feel so sick and nervous and worried. I dont know what to do brothers and sisters, i want to cry :(

Assalamu Alaikum,

For your second question: it depends on whether contents reached into your mouth or not. If they did, you just need to make up the fast. If they didn't then your fast is still valid inshallah. https://islamqa.info/en/40696

For your first question: kafarah would be fasting for 60 days consecutively. If for some reason you skip a day (ie. illness, travel), you'd need to start all over again. Since it is nearly impossible for females to fast for 60 days consecutively due to menses, you would not need to restart after menses, just continue when you are pure again. Otherwise you can feed the poor. https://www.islamic-relief.org.uk/ab...-and-kaffarah/

My parents told me even if i swallowed the reflux-y stuff it was okay since it wasnt a "foreign" body and had already been there

Ok since i swallowed the acid reflux, il make up this day later on. Il try and broach the idea of fasting kafarah to my dad later, although hes convinced i dont need to do it
