In additional to that, schools (in the West at least) are targeted for girls. The system is designed for girls and not boys. Especially majority of the teachers are females and they are non-Muslim females who wear provocative clothing, do not have hijab on and you can see the cleavage. Also the risk of girls saying this boy touched her or false rape allegation and sexual molestation is high at school I would prefer to have my sons be home schooled and if I had daughters to use public school. I know for a fact she will always come with an A+ or high grade and get an honors and bachelor degree at university but if I send my son to public school he will fail.

I have heard stories of sons getting high grades and A+ and been intellectually better if home schooling done well and that is the environment I want for him. He may avoid Zina, girlfriends, boys who may lure him to do drugs or alcohol and been pressured to have girlfriends or have sex or focus on how he dress or wear and deal with bullies but those I am willing to sacrifice for better education ;D;D;D;D:D

In additional, my homeschooling will including Islamic study and both my daughters and sons will AND MUST LEARN Islam 100% and be constantly taught Islamic classes. It is a must. That is what I will do.

Walaikumasalaam

I loved this jazaka Allah. I am a graduate been through the education system. Yes it does teach you and prepare you for how to pass your exams and does very little or nothing to prepare you for the world we live in. Life experiences and traveling teach you more Alhamdulilah. If i could go back in time i would have prioritised my islamic studies over secular. Back then there was no Alimah course in my local area but hey Allah swt has a plan. Alhamdulilah i am grateful for everything. Alhamdulilah.

Parents need to be involved with their children in order for them to turn out right. One can not simply expect them to obey without being there giving them support and advice

Don't parents just throw their kids some ipad or iphone as baby sisters? I do not know if parents know how to be parents anymore? Do you think the government will teach us how to be parents? ;D;D:facepalm::facepalm:

Many parents are involved in their children's.
But I completely agree with you xboxisdead that the goverment is even worst at figuring what is best for our children. And school is often pointless and some people do try to push their own values on other peoples children (since, naturally,, if they are teachers they surely know better than everyone else!!).

That is why we need to look at schools and decide which one is best for OUR children. And we need to find a school that truly represents our values.

Then I want to take child development classes and have a job taking care of kids or teach kids in kindergarten classes. Then my intention really is find a Muslimah wife who really, really is Allah fearing (not feminist) who just want to settle down and raise a family and honestly I want to open a business with her taking care of people's kids (I hear they make good money there) and have kids of my own. But again...I mean...if the wife is not meant to be...Allah knows what I don't. If I can't find a wife and they have Westernized or Americanized and really are verbally abusive to their husband I have made it this far without a woman I can make it to my grave without one...I will just simply Islamically adopt a child and raise that child to adulthood. I would have had a good job to take care of that child and I will raise him to be a proper Muslim with all the things I said above. My life will revolve around him and making him into a good adult with great merits. But if I do find such a wife that will be good too, I know there is something better outside the scope of this physical illusion world we call dunaya that people seem to kill each other for.:facepalm::facepalm:

This fictional world that you spend 8 hours of your time sleeping, a good 4 hours in washroom or was it 6 hours in washroom, eating, drinking and whatever left, working, studying, etc. Yeah...this is WHAT people are killing each other for, right? ^o)^o)^o) Uh hu :exhausted:exhausted

The purpose of modern Western education is to produce mindless slaves who will do as told and follow the herd. Apparently this succeeded in the case of the speaker in this video who chose dysfunctional pants with holes in them because he wanted to follow the herd.

Older Western education, say 150 years ago, was a classical education that taught history, religion, and how to think independently. The purpose of this kind education was to produce people who could think for themselves. Clearly this kind of education is out of fashion. So I homeschooled my kids to give them this kind of education.

I used to teach high school (English, Computer Science) and at a university in the US (Modern European History, Rhetoric, Latin, and Technical Writing). Now I work in the private sector.

I had a real crisis of faith about what I was doing. The education system was not just broken, it was based on flawed principles. We were using models developed in the late 19th and early 20th century to produce factory workers and low-level office workers. The faculty were burned-out and cynical, and the students were simultaneously bored and stressed. As the video above describes, we were dumping information into young minds that would be quickly forgotten.

I hated giving grades and assessments. Some of my best students were not the ones who were making "As", but the ones who showed a genuine interest in the material, and who wanted to explore deeper subjects.

My wife and I homeschool our two boys. The "curriculum" is designed to play into their strengths and interests, but also to give them practical knowledge and skills. There is an emphasis on foreign language (oldest son learning Farsi , and will soon be starting Arabic, and the youngest is learning German and Spanish), technology, and business.

I don't want the boys to be able to solve a differential equation: I want them to be able to mathematically evaluate an options-trading or hedging strategy. So while they study mathematics, it is for a specific, real-world purpose.

How many kids can solve a quadratic equation, but don't know a thing about double-entry bookkeeping? How many kids can write a research paper, but don't know how to write a business proposal?

How many can program in outdated coding languages, but don't know their way around a UNIX or Linux system?

Our schools can't keep up, and our kids are falling behind.

My kids are probably the only western kids within 50 miles that have a pretty good understanding of Islam, the history of the Middle-East, and the current situation in that part of the world. Our schools simply ignore half the world and 2 billion Muslims, since that stuff doesn't have relevance on the SAT/ACT examinations. I tell them "someday you may be doing business in a place like Qatar or Tehran. We live in a globalized world now".

My kids will ultimately take the standardized exams for college, and I don't care what scores they receive. I only care about the knowledge and skills they need to be successful when they get out of college and into the real world.

I believe in my heart that boys are geniuses not all of them but they are not what they media portray them to be. Majority of them are average like the girls, some are smarter than the average joe (those I want them to be appraised and encouraged to do better and go up) and the natural few are geniuses. Some of course have mental problems and that is not fault of their own...BUT ALL PLAY A VERY POWERFUL and important role into society and Western world is going out of their way to destroying them. The disrespect to masculinity in Western world is repulsive +o(+o(+o( at best. African community is 100% gynocentric and matriarch 100%. It failed. For five generations and more it failed. The women there are verbally and physically abusive and loud, they wear the most provocative clothing you can ever muster, boys don't know how to be men they end up acting like women and lots end up been either gay and soft featured and feminized or highly hyperactive and violent. The girls are increasing in male hormones each new birth they are having higher testosterone and they are aggressive, loud, violent and they go from men to men to men and lots are even going from women to women to women for sexual gratification. If they get knocked up they repeat the cycle by been single mothers and many of them kill, mutilate or leave their kids in cars or homes alone while they go out partying. Lineage and heritage is long dead there and all children take their mother's name. They have no connection to the father. In that community if the father attempt to have any relationship with his kid, the woman get angry and kill the child to hurt the father and the only way the father can save his own kid is by having no relationship with that kid. During that time..the mother poisons the child against the father and the child hates the father while the mother expect the child to worship her. So many female in the African community call themselves Goddesses and they believe they are God and to be worshiped. That community failed. It is failing worse than ever before and will continue failing.

In the Western world there is mother's day, women day and girls day all of these are human invention and it is against Islam all of that is bidha and bidha leads to hellfire. The following have no place in Islam:

1) Valentine day
2) Birthday
3) Motherday
4) Fatherday
5) Women day
6) Girl day
7) Christmas
8) Holloween
9) Thanksgiving Day
10) Remembrance day
11) Grandmother day
12) Good Friday
13) Easter Monday
14) Victoria Day
15) Canada Day
16) New Year's day
17) Civic Holiday
18) Labour Day
19) Remembrance Day
20) Boxing Day

:o:o:o:o:o Damn....the jahiliya is wild and strong. Silas you need to protect your sons as if they are your daughters, because nowadays the world is waging war against them for been boys. Remember my words if you really love them as you say you do.

@azc

Ameen. Thank you brother.

I am sorry, but may I ask why you are against civic holiday? It is basically just a day off that you can spend with your family. It is not rooted in any religion (as far as I know, but I might be wrong) and it is not encouraging people to do anything haram (unlike, for instance valentine's day or Halloween). Is there something I am missing about it?
