I’m asking this because, recently I have read on the internet that someone discovered that the human brain has another undiscovered part of the brain which is now officially discovered, that allows us to perform telekinesis.

Here’s the link from where I get this information:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEGf0E3wTl8

Is that true what I have found?

If it is true, then why today we can’t perform telekinesis? Or some people have this kind of ability activated and others deactivated? Or, anyone can learn to perform this kind of ability?

I need to know the truth about this kind of matter.

:sl:

I am certain we are encouraged to make needed efforts to use all our potential and abilities bestowed for the purpose of worshiping Allah. How is telekinesis helpful in this aspect? Even if one were to have or achieved this power the importance of how it will serve our ibaadah must be understood.

Powers can be from good sources or evil. Any action relies on a particular agent for performing that action. It's best advised not to be too fascinated by these things. Maybe one day Allah will give many powers and Insha'Allah those will be truly purposeful.

The best power is dua really! This is the true example set by the greatest of leaders, prophet Muhammad pbuh who taught us to use our brains/minds to memorize and study the Quran, study the world and reflect deeply in the signs of Allah.

"Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason." - Quran 2:164

How The Quran Shapes The Brain

"While learning the Quran, the careful attention to listening and pronunciation of verses stimulates an area of the brain located in the temporal lobe. The temporal lobe is also where the hippocampus is located, which is the memory consolidation center. It's also the brain region activated for processing of musical sounds such as the case when the Quran is recited. Moreover, it becomes involved when the student engages in handwriting exercises similar to the ones on the wooden board. Where this matters is that this is the part of the brain whose activity levels and capacities have been correlated with a person's aptitude for learning new information. The more activation this area receives, and the more involved this activation is such as the case with the Quran, the better and more efficient it becomes in its functions for learning and memory.

The parietal lobes are also quite heavily engaged as one learns the Quran. The left parietal lobe deals with reading, writing, and functions in speech. It's also the part whose activity is important for math and logic problems. The right parietal lobe handles speech tone, which is related to elocution. It's also responsible for visuospatial relationships and understanding facial expressions. The front part is responsible for the sense of touch discrimination and recognition, which is active during handwriting. The back part plays an important role in attention. Both lobes are also activated during skill learning tasks. Overall, having parietal lobes that have been well activated translates to better logic and math-solving skills, eloquence in general speech, better ability at reading emotional states from facial cues, improved attention, and enhanced capacity for understanding visuospatial relationships. This last one can explain why Muslims were so good at astronomy.

Other brain regions the activity of Quran recitation strongly activate are the frontal lobes and the primary motor cortex. The frontal lobes activity deals with higher order functions, including working memory, memory retrieval, speech production and written-word recognition, sustained attention, planning, social behavior, in addition to others. For example, as the student is reading the Othamni script, his brain must quickly decide on the proper pronunciation of the word, which without the diacritical marks means it must be distinguished from other possibilities that include not only wrong words, but also wrong enunciation depending on the specific recitation he's using out of the 10 valid ones. The amazing thing about this is that the brain after practice will do these things without conscious control from the student. This trains the area of the brain responsible for inhibition, which is important for social interaction. Children with ADHD have been shown to have this area to be under-developed.

Given the Quran's content that for example includes descriptions of individuals and places, it activates the occipital lobes, which are involved in generating mental imagery. This brain region is also important in visual perception. Becoming active as a result of generating mental imagery indirectly improves visual perception capacities since the area activated is within the same region. The Quran is also rich in its content for history, parables, and logical arguments, all of which recruit different areas that become more efficient and better connected as they are continually activated due to the consistent review sessions.

Putting all this together, it's no wonder Muslims were able to make such vast contributions to human knowledge in a relatively short amount of time, historically speaking. After the aspiring student during the height of Muslim rule has mastered the Quran, his education in other sciences began by the time he was in his early teenage years. Given the brain's malleable nature, the improved connections in one region indirectly affect and improve functions in adjacent locations. The process in studying the Quran over the previous years has trained his brain and enhanced its functions relating to visual perception, language, working memory, memory formation, processing of sounds, attention, skill learning, inhibition, as well as planning just to name a few. Now imagine what such an individual will be able to do when they tackle any subject. It makes sense how someone like Imam Al Ghazali can say he studied Greek philosophy on the side during his spare time and mastered it within 2 years.
What was the Muslims' secret for their exponential rise in scientific advancement and contribution to human knowledge? Literally, the Quran when it was the centre of their education system."

I agree. Dua and reciting the qura'an and worshipping Allah is better than any power, telekinesis, intelligence, etc of this world and what is between it. For example, I ordered a beautiful tray from Turkey and when they mailed it to me they also added the blue eye that suppose to protect you from jealousy and evil eyes of people (we all know that is false)....as soon as I looked at the blue I was about to vomit. That eye is nothing more than representation of Shirk. To me..that blue and cross that christians put on their chest are one and the same. My family liked the blue eye...but I hated it. You want protection from jealousy and evil eyes of people then recite the last Surah in the qura'an and pray to Allah to protect you from the evil eye NOT SOME BLUE marble that does nothing except tempt you to make shirk.

I am afraid our hearts are getting too attached to this miserable world and that is bad.

I am going to start reading Qura'an. For the first intention for the pleasure of Allah (Subahanahu Wa Talaa), you get huge rewards in the afterlife, after the pleasure of Allah..for the purpose of getting my iman higher and better and after that for my brain. if I have children all of them will be reading Qura'an at the youngest age possible. If I can get them to recite al-fatiha at like age 2 or 3 I would do it...and I will homeschool them all. I want them to have healthy mind and healthy heart. NO MUSIC!:nervous::nervous:

Other thing...NO TV Limit as much as possible electronic stimulation...if I see them dropping in grade....no electronic stimulation for a year! I am going to be militant on this.

..telekinesis is moving things with the power of your mind.

Got confused for a moment because it's usually telepathy.

Anyway I watched the vid and I agree.. i believe that the person relating his theory has some experience with telekenisis.

I didn't get to the part where people are activated and others not..

But I agree with that also.

I would imagine that one of the most clear proofs of such things were given to Moses pbuh.

...Although he didn't attribute it to any part of himself, But telekenisis is an established word.

The other well known example is the stories of prophet suleman pbuh.

My father told me that these people can perform telekinesis by the help of Satan.

How can I prove to him that telekinesis can actually come from God Himself and not necessarily to be from Satan?

Proof is sufficient enough that anything satan does only by the will of Allah. In fact, everything and I mean everything is by the will of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Talaa) and I mean EVERYTHING!!! If Allah does not will it..nothing happens...not even if a rock falls from height. if Allah does not will it..the object will stay in mid-air and not move. if Allah wills it...the glass will chatter on my table and if Allah wills it the glass will not chatter even if a boulder falls on it. So any power is from Allah..ANY power...even intelligence is a risq that Allah have given that person...otherwise you could read the entire book on Earth and you come out drooling and going duuuuh if Allah did not will it for that person. Heck..even my lungs will not inhale or exhale without the will of Allah for my lungs to inhale or exhale. Allah (Subhanahu Wa Talaa) mentions in the Qura'an that the reasons the birds are flying is because Allah (Subahanu Wa Talaa) grabbed them and made them stay at the sky and not fall. Otherwise no feather or wing will make them fly. My soul only returns back to my body when I go to sleep is because Allah (Subanahu Wa talaa) sends it back..otherwise I will be dead.

Allah swt has given us different powers and abilities, if are developed, can be activated to function. telekinesis may be one of them. I think so.

I must say, you do have some interesting discussions going on at home haha. about Telekinesis, I do not know...according to science, we are only using just a tiny part of our brain actively...our brain is capable of much more...I do not know whether telekinesis is one of them. Story of Sulayman as is said that A jinn has retrieved Belkis her throne in the blink of an eye...whether by telekinesis or by huge strength or speed I do not know...we do know that jinns can be incredibly fast and strong....besides, the physics and laws of nature applies to us and may not apply to them...so this is a bad example.

About Moses as, I do not know any story where telekinesis is been used.

I am Turkish and must say that those blue eyes also disgust me...but it is hard to get rid of...you will find those almost everywhere and almost everyone has few of them at home...it has become a cultural thing. you will be confronted almost everywhere with it.
but as you say, nothing but superstition and shirk.

about children...my daughter is just 2 years now...she still has a hard time to speak...besides baba, anne, miauw, auwie and degil (not) so teaching a whole surah is not going to work yet....but she can do a tumble already haha.
About TV and electronic stimulation...that is very very hard these days. I agree with you that that must be limited as much as possible...but completely banning it is not going to work.

Just like how important newspapers were in the old years, TV and internet are both unthinkable nowadays.

The OP cannot be blamed for wondering about the potential our minds can truly reach, this can in fact be a form of worship as well. Myself, I have been relatively interested in Synaesthesia (or cross-sensory perception is an involuntary physical experience of a cross-modal association, i.e. the stimulation of one sensory modality triggers a perception in one or more different senses. To translate it into plain English: synaesthetes see sounds, or smell colours, or taste shapes, or feel sounds on the skin, or hear colours, etc. Although not specific to autism, synaesthesia seems to be quite common among autistic individuals.)

As br Azc reminded, there might be individuals who are highly gifted in various fields, whether these are artists, those having perfect recall of information/memories, predicting capabilities etc, And, there might be astonishing individuals whose strengths we may still need to discover! In agreement, that not necessarily are those abilities from bad sources. However, from my experience (the relative issue) with Telekinesis has not been from a good source. So, whilst there are those who are gifted and blessed by Allah, whether they are Muslims or non-Muslims, my initial fears towards this topic also lies in my concern that people, mostly our younger brothers and sisters may tend to fall astray from our true purpose in life being fascinated by these abilities by themselves. For educational reasons, however, there's nothing wrong learning about this world and others.....especially, we are told in the Quran, we were created in various tribes, peoples to know each other.

"O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted." -Quran 49:13

Perhaps, Allah has blessed some persons with many gifts so that they can understand and show gratitude to Him, and in other instances people do turn to wrong sources (evil) to gain powers for selfish or harmful purposes. Only Allah knows best. Any action relies on a particular agent for performing that action.

Sometimes in Islam and with regards to the prophets (peace and blessings be upon them all) it's moreso a matter of faith (and the employment of required agents) rather than one's own mind, Imagine being placed in a burning fire and having it cooled for you???

“We (Allah) said: ‘O fire! Be you coolness and safety for Ibrahim (Abraham)!’ And they wanted to harm him, but We made them the worst losers”- Quran 21:69-70

However, this occurred after the following dua had been made:

“Hasbi Allah wa ni’am al-wakeel (Allah is sufficient for me and He is the best Disposer of affairs).”

Now, that others mentioned a few I'm thinking there are so many possibilities/blessings bestowed upon an individual and of what can be achieved as mentioned by the Quran. (Today being Jummah, the story of Khidr -pbuh- also comes to mind).

And, what about teleportation - transported across space and time instantly?

"Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing." Quran 17:1

JazaakAllahu khair, hoping others will continue inputting!

There is no such thing as Telekenisis other then it being another form of magic. It's impossible for human to move objects without touching them it's out of the nature law set by Allah except him altering it for whomever he wills example like what happened to Ibrahim when the fire didn't burn him it was alteration of the nature law and it was Allah himself who did it.

But Telekenisis is out of the nature law set for us so his talking about pure magic.

It's basically impossible to beat nature law or by pass except it being from Allah( for prophets and friends of Allah) or Magicians who have the assistance of Jinns meaning they are carrying things for them etc etc

10 People Who Gained Extraordinary Abilities From Brain Damage

Savants are people who display extraordinary abilities, sometimes far exceeding what we might think of as normal. These abilities can include exceptional memory recall, lightning calculation ability and uncanny artistic skill. Certain cases have attracted the attention of the media, even the 1988 film Rain Man was inspired by a real figure, and the field is subject to constant scientific research and debate.

Among the most amazing cases in this area are “acquired savants”, individuals left with extraordinary abilities following a brain injury or central nervous system trauma. The leading American authority on savant syndrome, Dr Darold Treffert, believes that there are probably fewer than fifty living prodigious savants, that is, those whose gifts would appear incredible in anyone. Yet, while some of these acquired abilities continue to amaze and baffle, Dr Treffert is not alone in thinking that such cases may point to untapped abilities in all of us. Read on to find out what these might be.
10. Eadweard Muybridge

Nineteenth-century pioneer Eadweard Muybridge may conjure up images of the silhouetted horses with which he startled audiences in the 1880s, and which proved how our equine friends gallop. Yet, ironically, those very same quadrupeds may have played a key role in giving up their secrets, for in 1860 a stagecoach accident left Muybridge with serious head injuries.

Studying photography during his five years of recuperation certainly shaped the young man’s future, but experts such as Professor Arthur Shimamura have suggested that Muybridge’s injuries may have boosted his creative ability. The impact of the head trauma was near impossible to discern at the time, and certainly impossible to treat. Without doubt, though, erratic episodes and dark chapters dogged Muybridge throughout his later years, not least his shooting dead the man whom he suspected of fathering his young wife’s child.

Muybridge is often characterized as having had an obsessive drive while excelling in business, but it may have been that one accident that secured his enduring impact on 20th-century modern art and film.
9. Ken Walters

Eadweard Muybridge is certainly not the only reported case of someone experiencing a boost in his creative powers after enduring a head trauma. For 19 years, former engineer Ken Walters was wheelchair-bound following an accident involving a forklift truck, and the outlook seemed even bleaker in 2005 when he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. Diagnosed as having suffered a stroke, Walters underwent speech therapy and worked to overcome his partial paralysis. His doctors suggested that his brain may well have “rewired” itself to avoid damaged areas, but Walters was amazed when he discovered “the biggest passion I’ve ever had in my life.”

Although, following his stroke, he lacked the strength to do anything more than pick up a pencil, Walters, who had never before been artistic, was soon converting his doodles into incredible digital images. Later, he developed his own software and a business selling his images online. This in turn attracted the attentions of American gaming giant EA, for whom he has since done work. After years of adversity, the stroke may have been, in Walters’s words, “the biggest blessing in disguise I ever could have wished for.”
8. Alonzo Clemons

Colorado-based sculptor Alonzo Clemons has achieved international recognition for his incredibly realistic animal sculptures, which can sell for thousands of dollars. Remarkably, his pieces are often completed in under an hour, and sometimes completely from memory. But perhaps the most amazing aspect of Clemons’s story is that this talent almost went unnoticed. Severely disabled by a head injury he sustained as a young boy, Clemons could neither feed nor dress himself. And yet he is described by Dr Treffert as one of the “25 prodigious savants living at the present time.”

His incredible artistic abilities are in stark contrast to his disability, and over the years he has developed not only these abilities but also his independence in the face of adversity. He continues to sculpt, but he is also an active community member in his town of Boulder and has even competed in power lifting at the Special Olympics.
7. Anne Adams

Of course, not all head trauma leads to special abilities, and it can sometimes have a lasting effect on individuals and their families. One notable example of the strange yet distressing effects brain damage can have is that of Dr Anne Adams. Dr Adams was a trained scientist who, seemingly out of nowhere, made a life-changing decision: she gave up science and turned to art, yet did so creating paintings that were simultaneously scientific and artistic.

It was only later that Dr Adams was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a degenerative disease that damages the frontal and sometimes temporal lobes of the brain. Researchers have found that as these areas of the brain become compromised, other parts can strengthen and dominate, a common effect of which is the growth of creative abilities.

Productive as they made her, Adams’s skills were nevertheless a symptom, and she died from the condition in 2007. Intriguingly, Adams had also became fascinated by the composer Ravel, and created at least one artistic work that attempted to “translate” his music. Ravel himself suffered a head injury in the 1930s, with some suggested that he may have developed frontotemporal dementia as well.
6. Sandy Allen

Some of the most striking examples of acquired savant syndrome occur when a person switches their leanings entirely, from science to art, for instance. As with Dr Anne Adams, Sandy Allen’s taste had always been science, utilizing the left side of the brain, believed to govern logical processes. So inclined, she enrolled at medical school at the age of 40.

However, within three years, Allen received life-changing news: there was a malignant tumor in her left temporal lobe that required surgery. This was not a degenerative disorder, but, in operating, doctors were forced to remove part of the left side of her brain. It was as if, as Allen described the situation, “it turned on the right side of my brain.” Allen suddenly found herself prolifically creating collages and surrounding herself with self-created furnishings, and it’s interesting to note that both her mother and sister are talented artists. Allen’s case appears to be a key example of the brain’s capacity to unlock previously hidden talents.
5. Alison Silva

Artist Alison Silva had long been fascinated with the fantastical, but her own life darkened in 2006 when she suffered a cavernous malformation hemorrhage in the left temporal lobe of her brain. Silva subsequently suffered crippling migraines, seizures and disturbing visions. Her condition, which could bring about a deadly hemorrhage at any time, left her with an unenviable decision: operate or not.

Ultimately, Silva decided not to proceed with the operation, partly inspired by the role neurological conditions had played in the lives of many of her creative idols, including Lewis Carroll. Choosing her ability first, Silva has said, “I’ve always felt like I was in wonderland, but this time around I was forced to go through the looking glass into my own reality.”
4. Derek Amato

Acquired savants have gained a variety of abilities, from artistic talents to language skills. When Derek Amato was 40, he dove into the shallow end of a swimming pool, hitting his head on the bottom. Along with concussion-related side effects, including amnesia, Amato discovered a previously unknown musical gift.

He described being drawn to a keyboard one night and visualizing “a fluid and continuous stream of musical notation” in his mind. He played until 2am, engrossed in an instrument he had never before touched. Neurological tests were later broadcast by the Science Channel, and he was diagnosed as one of the few acquired savants in the world. Again, there is a reminder that such cases carry consequences: Amato has described the hearing loss and headaches that followed his accident as a “price tag” for his gift.
3. Kim Peek

Few people have helped raise the awareness of savantism like Kim Peek, even if he did so indirectly. Peek may have been the inspiration for Dustin Hoffman’s Oscar-winning performance in Rain Man, but while the film portrayed him as autistic, Peek is actually thought to have suffered from FG syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that can cause physical abnormalities.

Peek was renowned for his exceptional memory, he was able to recall zip codes or calendar dates in seconds, but the root cause of his abilities syndrome is believed to have been damage to his corpus callosum: the loss of the bundle of connective nerves between the two hemispheres of his brain. Scientists have speculated that the resultant unusual connections in his brain physically created an extraordinary memory capacity.

Interestingly, while the film’s portrayal certainly differed from his own life, Rain Man nonetheless changed Peek’s life. Prior to his death in 2009, his newfound fame helped improve his social abilities, as well as educating people about the lives and abilities of people with special needs.
2. Orlando Serrell

In England in the 1780s, Jedediah Buxton, a farmer who could not read or write, became renowned as a kind of “human calculator,” able to mentally calculate at breakneck speeds and with an incredible memory to boot. There’s no evidence that Buxton acquired this ability after his birth, but 200 years later and across the Atlantic, one Orlando Serrell seemed to develop the same ability after an incident that took place during a childhood game.

While the 10-year-old Serrell was playing baseball in 1979, the ball hit him on the left side of his head as he made a dash for first base, causing him to fall to the floor. Eager to keep playing, he did not report what had happened and so did not receive medical treatment. But, after the resulting headaches eventually subsided, Serrell noticed a hitherto undetected ability to make lightning-fast mental calculations involving extremely complex figures. He’s also reportedly able to remember what the weather was like, and what his activities were, on every single day since that fateful baseball game.

1. Daniel Tammet

Of all the abilities displayed by acquired savants, linguistic skills may be among the most remarkable. Indeed, articles on xenoglossy (a rather derisory term for the ability to suddenly speak an unfamiliar language) seem to regularly appear in newspapers. Notwithstanding, Briton Daniel Tammet not only learned Icelandic in seven days, to add to the alleged 10 other languages he has learned, but also established his own educational language website.

What’s more, this linguistic prowess is by no means the only ability of Tammet’s, who suffered epileptic seizures during childhood. He has described how he started seeing numbers as shapes and colors following a fit he had at the age of three and is able to make incredibly complex calculations at lightning speeds. He even broke the European record for reciting Pi from memory in 2004, managing 22,514 digits in five hours. In addition, Tammet has written two best-selling books, which have appeared in at least 20 languages. Included in Dr Treffert’s select list prodigious savants, Tammet may well display the widest range of extraordinary abilities found in people who have this rare condition, at least, among those dealt with in this list.

To me all of this is wasted is not for the pleasure of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Talaa). In fact, the more you get all these risq and you do not spend it to the cause of Allah the more it will become against you in the afterlife. It is that simple.

You have telekensis powers if you do not use it to please Allah and you use it for anything else than that, you will be questioned and you may even be punished and if you use it to displease Allah or cause harm to people or evil intend..FOR SURE YOU WILL GET punished.

If we humans were to possess this kind of ability, of course I’ll use it to do good, and rarely I’ll use it in bad purpose in case I’m angry at someone. I’ll use this power for example, when my Christian mother has a problem with another Christian man that he parks his car into my mother’s car, and if he’s such a donkey( stubborn, don’t want to move his ass) then I can use the power to move his car and place it, in another parking lot, and then I can allow my Christian mother to park her car into her parking lot.

What do you think of this deed? Bad or good? I only try to make easy things for her, so that she won’t have to face with all idiots.

But Telekenisis is out of the nature law set for us so his talking about pure magic.

It's basically impossible to beat nature law or by pass except it being from Allah( for prophets and friends of Allah) or Magicians who have the assistance of Jinns meaning they are carrying things for them etc etc

I agree that words like telekinesis or "powers" are dilebirately misleading.. the connotations we relate to them are simply enforced by the media we grew up with.

..you talk about natural law and this is where things get very complicated.

The unseen is nothing new or unnatural.

It's link to our existence is nothing new or unnatural.

But we are not meant to know about this and no real benefit can come from knowing about it.

Even developing an awareness of such things leads to character altering behaviour..

The ultimate kicker is that we all do... all the time.

And switching off autopilot is not a clever thing to do.

At least this is what I thought. (Maybe I don't give you lot the credit you deserve, But I don't think I even had a thought until my mid 20s)

It's such a fundamental part of religion that it can relate to so much of what is said in the Qur'an.. But it can just as easily be overlooked without consequence.

The religion itself is an appeal to many different understandings.

And we could talk about it for a long time..

But as knowledge and awareness grows.. things will only ever seem to appear out of nowhere.

Keep learning.

Allah knows what we don't know. Have you ever considered that it is possible that 96% of us would do more harm than good with such power. Especially if children had such power...fasaat and destruction would be unbelievable and we lose focus of our existence here and that is worshiping Allah. I am so thankfully that Allah did not give us such power or if he will give it to handful of few people that only he knows can handle such power. We are human beings. We are defective man or woman alike. I prefer us to use only 2% of our brains and focus on worshiping Allah and be humble and not arrogant. This life is but a game. This life is a dream....let us focus on succeeding in the afterlife.

If in this world I did not get that ability, then when I get in Heaven, I can wish to have in my possession this kind ability as a reward? Because, I dreamt of having such ability in my possession. What are the chances for a powerless person to get that power if he was born with non? Is it possible for he to make Dua for God To Grant him this power? If he were to get that power, how would he know if he even has? How could he know how to use it? Are there any guidance in Quran that can show him how to use it in case he have it as a tutorial?
