How do you repent for sins that you aren’t sure about? As in you are not sure they are sins? Also, when a person asks for forgiveness without a sin in mind are sins forgiven?

Go for safe and repent anyway...especially if it makes you feel bad. this of course includes your promise not to do that again...in the meantime you can check whether it really was a sin or not. even when something is permitted, it may be a bad thing so repenting is always useful.

about asking forgiveness about sins without a sin in mind I do not know.

but if I may share how I think about it...I think yes.

We humans commit many sins sometimes small, sometimes big. sometimes in full consciousness, sometimes unaware at that moment. It is impossible for us to remember every single sin we committed. Surely Allah still gives us the chance to repent for all our sins, even the ones we cannot remember. So my logic says, yes Allah will forgive those sins when repented.
But again, this is my personal thought...So I am not sure.

like many times repeated here, the situation is different if someone else is included in this. If you have wronged someone else, this of course will not be forgiven just like that.

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

Do you know the power of Dua? Dua is a weapon of a believer!

Firstly - Just a gentle reminder: What has Allah azza wajal said about Hope in the Quran?

Allah Says in Surah Az-Zumar Verse 53: "Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

[/I]Secondly - Do you know the Dua For All Sins Forgiveness:

Arabic to English Pronounce: Allahum-maghfir li dhanbi kullahu: diqqahu wa jillahu, wa 'awwalahu wa akhirahu, wa alaniyatahu wa sirrahu

Meaning:
O Allah! Forgive all my sins, the smallest and the greatest, the past and the future, and the declared and the undeclaredLearn More: https://www.duasrevival.com/supplica...ns-forgiveness

Please remember us in your Duas.

Only through the Mercy of Allah Azza Wajal we can come through our hardships. Seeking forgiveness is one of the ways to earn the mercy of Allah azza wajal. Also, did you know - One of Allah Azza Wajal name is "Ar-Raqeeb" - He is the All-and-Ever-Watchful, observing everyone’s actions, thoughts, and feelings. Ar-Raqeeb is also The Controller; preserving and organizing the affairs of creation with the perfect planning!

Arabic to English Pronounce: Astaghfirullahal Azeem al-lazi la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum wa atubu ilaih

Meaning: I seek the forgiveness of Allah the Mighty, Whom there is none worthy of worship except Him, The Living, The Eternal, and I repent unto Him

The one who [regularly] says Istighfaar, Allah Azza Wa-Jal will open a path for him from all difficulties, remove him from all sorrow, and grant him sustenance from unimagined and unexpected sources. [Abu Dawud]

Please remember us in your Duas.
