Assalamu Alaikum: can anyone tell me the names of the outer garment the Imam wears when he teaches. I would like to buy a excellent quality clothing of this as a gift for him. The one he wears looks very old and near to retire. I would also like to know where to buy this. I know my wife buys clothing at Mediterranean Oasis in Syracuse NY or Mondanisa in Turkey, but they dont sell the imam's garment. THANK YOU

Walaikumasalaam,

Lovely idea.

It depends on his culture. Some might wear the jilbaab or islamic thobe or jilbaab.

Maybe use the internet to view the images? And use online websites or local shops depending on where you are...?
