I have just performed Umra Alhamdulillah and I feel that I have many mistakes in reading my Salah (arabic tajweed) and reading Quran. First thing after performing Umra I would like to correct my Salah and reading tajweed.

Can anyone please suggest, what is the best way to correct my tajweed? I have tried many times in the past, but still can't get my pronunciation of certain words correctly and not getting the grip with reading Quran correctly.

Any recommendations will be highly appreciated.

Asalamualykum

I would strongly advise you to enquire at your local masjids and enrol with a teacher who is experienced and recites in the correct manner. I have been going masjid every Sunday for 3 years now and i have Alhamdulilah passed my ama para and Qaida with tajweed. It is not an easy process especially when you are so used to reciting without tajweed. You bave to practise, practise and keep practising. I tell you something else the tranquillity and peace that i get from reading the quran is out of this world. Alhamdulilah with the permission of Allah swt. If you put the hard work in you see the results eventually.

If you would like an online teacher this brother is exceptionally good.

Don't just rely on online media. You need a teacher to listen to your recitation and make you understand and rectify your mistakes. Don't give up. Find a teacher. It will be the best gift you give yourself.

In order to learn the recitation of Quran one must first learn how to read Qaida with proper Makharij. For this, you can check this Islamic Qaida App, through which you can read the basics of Qaida in it and improve the pronunciations of Makharij.
