If a person expresses their pains in life through art (eg writing about your feelings in a novel) does that count as complaining?

Can't you express your pain in life through supplication to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Talaa) and ask Allah (Subhanahu Wa Talaa) to make it easier for you and doing intensive prayers and reading Qura'an instead of writing your feelings in novel, art, music or therapy?

Allah LOVES IT WHEN YOU complain to him about your issues in life....complain to Allah about whatever is in your heart. Is it your parents? Is it your wife? Is your children? Is it the new social order? Is it school? Is it wealth? Is it relationship? Is it social issues? Is it lack of children? Is it....whatever you think it is going strain in your chest...run to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Talaa) complain to him about your issue and pray to him....

THAT IS BETTER THAN A TRILLION novels whom no one is going to read it. Who reads novels anyways O_O? What with the BPA other chemicals and over stimulation images no one have the attention to read a sentence like a let alone a novel of some person complaining.

Plus you are not going to get a single reward writing that novel and you get an illusion believe you released the pain.

You are allowed to complain provided it is in way that doesnt displease Allah or against him. You can complain as a patient complains to his doctor or when prophet SAW would visit people and listen to their problems, the people would complain and seek his fatwas. It is permissible as long as it in a good way. You can complain if someone is mistreating as long as you do not reveal things about him which have no relevance to the abuse he does

I think you aren’t being very open minded. If a war veteran made a film inspired by his experiences in war then that would educate people about what happens at war which would probably deserve some reward from Allah.

Yes sister as long as the intention is good

Just make sure not to exaggerate and add lies to it...if you ever do repent and try to go back to the gatherings and take back your statements. Then inshallah Allah will be merciful. But complaining is allowed provided with good intention. Humans complain as it Is a natural thing to do...we are weak beings that easily get distressed....prophet ayub as complained too

I do not know about you...but me going to a room, close the door and cry my heart to Allah (Subhananu Wa Talaa) is the greatest pleasure on Earth. I feel so light..lighter than a feather...happppppppy.....and the whole world become worthless and silly and whatever calamity I went through becomes trivial and unnecessary to have even cried for. But then I can always write that novel or movie with the proper attention to help people to see how I faced that calamity if that facing calamity is done Islamically and way to show people to depend on Allah (Subhanahu Wa talaa) like the time of prophets when they faced and dealt with calamity...then by all means go for it.

But if your novel or video is some cheap thrill hollywood movie..then please no..don't do it.

Look...you can always write that novel or video and help people and get reward from it...but please do it in the correct orders and intention:

A) Complain to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Talaa) about your calamity and cry to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Talaa) about your calamity. Clear your chest. Take that burden off your back. Then once you clear your head and chest from the issue...then...

B) Do proper intention that will please Allah (Subhanu Wa Talaa) and write that novel
