Assalamualaikum

In our work, are Muslims always meant to strive for perfection? Is it haraam to not put your absolute effort or is it only seen as a recommended thing to do? If a person is really tired or sick on a work day is it permissible for him to take it easier then?

Assalamu alaykum warahmitAllahi wa barakatu. It is important to strive to be a perfect Muslim. Keep working to challenge and change yourself. Of course, if you are feeling sick, tired, or exhausted, it is definitely important to renew yourself and ask for Allah's help.
