Which among these dog carriers is good for traveling with pets? What are the things that I should consider when getting one? How safe it is to travel with a tiny dog like Yorkie?

Keeping dogs as pets is prohibited in Islam. It's a sin.

Dogs saliva is filthy and it spreads germs.

Maybe get a cat? Prophet Muhammad SAW loved cats. Or birds. Birds are actually very friendly and sweet. Cockatiel preferably

But, there was a dog guarding the young boys in the cave mentioned in Surah Al Khaf. Does this mean that they are only protectors?

Poor birdie :/

Having wings but not being able to fly about in open spaces. That does not sound nice.

I think Abu Hurairah r.a loved cats too.

Yes dogs can be kept as guard dogs but they should be treated as such by not being kept inside the house (Maybe keep them in garden) and not being cuddled etc

Even for guardian function, alarm systems are more efficient alternative to dogs.
They don't make false alarms at night at someone outside zone of control or to impress neigbour's alarm system, can't be bribed with piece of meat, don't require food and don't have hygiene issues..

You can take both cats and dogs with you on the plane. You need to get your pets passports and I am not joking. Pet passports
