So I need help I am a 14 year old who is getting these thoughts. They started after Ramadan I started to get bad thoughts about Allāh like bad names after I had seen a post online which said a bad name towards Allāh I hated these and after any thought that was bad I would describe Allāh as it I hated it. Then I was in a re lesson at school and I had these thoughts which I cannot remember and I remember me in my bed having a panic attack over these thoughts I think one was like ‘doesn’t everyone believe there religion is right’ I hated this. I carried on thinking about this then after a while I started getting bad thoughts about Islam like shirk thoughts I had one which was before jummah and I felt like I believe that god didn’t exist except I raised my finger like in Salah and said la illaha illalah and I also got another one before going out and I did the same thing again then when I woke up another day I had a feeling I was non Muslim because of what I had done and another before Salah when I had a thought that I doubted hell and paradise I wanted to cry and be really worried but I can’t cry I want to cry really badly about this and be worried because I feel I am not a Muslim if I don’t cry or are worried about these thoughts I think this may be because I ask Allāh to put my mind at peace and help me or I may have a illness or I may believe this is just waswas and I don’t care please help me I really don’t want to go to hell I get shirk thoughts continuesly throughout my day I started to pray because of it but I need help I feel as if I have committed shirk please help in my dua I always ask for forgiveness but sometimes throughout my day I feel like I am a non Muslim I get these shirk thoughts but I don’t realize till after when I think about them that they are shirk sometimes please help quick I feel as if I don’t care but I want to care I feel as if I don’t care about being a non Muslim when I’m reality I don’t want to be a non Muslim

My little brother,

These are all the whispers from Shaytan and one way to get rid of these is to learn more about Islam. Learn Quran in depth and don't hesitate to ask questions about your faith.

Many of us are born Muslims and are not the Muslims by choice. It is very important to have a good foundation and that foundation can be built if you start learning Quran and about Islam in general (not at your own but through a scholar or well educated practicing Muslim). Once you are 100% convinced Islam is the only true religion then you will become a Muslim by choice and these whispers will go away inshallah. Hope this was helpful.

We are humans and have our limitations and flaws. Allah knows this about us.

Sometimes things are in our control, other times, they are not. Allah is not unreasonable and does not punish without real cause.

Fleeting thoughts occur to us, either by our own subconscious randomly bringing them to the front of our active minds or by shaytan deliberately trying to sabotage us.

However, it is nothing to be alarmed about. Allah doesn't punish us for things we cannot control.

Next time this kind of thought occurs, just say "a’udhu billahi min ash shaytanir rajim" (i.e. seek help from Allah against the shaytan) then forget about it completely and move on with whatever it is that you were doing. The more you dwell on it, the stronger these thoughts become. So, the key solution to it is to ignore it completely and move on. I know this because I too used to suffer from similar issues in the past and ignoring it was a powerful way to overcome it.

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

In relation to repentance and protection from Shirk - Do You Know The Supplication Taught To Us By The Messenger of Allah Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him)? The Messenger (S.A.W) warned us against shirk, fearing that his Ummah might fall into it, and said “The thing I fear most for you is minor shirk.”

The Messenger (S.A.W) also said: “Shirk among you is more subtle than the sound of the footsteps of an ant on a rock.Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, it will take that away from you both minor and major forms of it” (Saying this Du’a).

Pronunciation: Allahumma inni a’oo-zu bika an oosh-rika bika wa ana a’lamu, wa astagh firuka lima laa a’lam

Meaning: O Allah, I seek refuge with You from knowingly associating anything with You, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which I do unknowingly

The questions and doubts are preludes to certainty. They need to be solved out

Also,
God says "Do we reward you other than for what you do?"
and says
Satan proffers you the ugly and others you to do the ugly, and god proffers you forgiveness from him and grace, and god is extender, knowledgeable
So don't panic
