I am a Sunni Muslim working at Tim Hortons for 4 years. I am writing this post because there's so many friends/relatives/family members as well as our Muslim guests who come in wanting to know which foods are halal at our small Coffee Cafe/restaurant. As we continue to expand and grow, more Muslims want to know the answers so here you go:

Halal Foods:

Most of the foods you eat at Tim Hortons is halal. Coffee, All Hot and Cold Beverages, Donuts, muffins, cookies, pastries, bagels.

Though these products may not always be healthy, they are all halal in the sense that Imams will come in and order these products.

As for the breakfast items, Eggs and Hashbrowns (Potato) are allowed. The Beyond Sausage Egg and Cheese as well as The Beyond Sausage Lettuce Tomato is also halal as it's not pork, but rather Plant Based meat.

For lunch, Tim Hortons now has the Vegan Beyond Burger and BBQ Beyond Burger which is Plant Based as well.
Potato Wedge are halal.

As for Soups, there's the Vegetable soups available which is halal as well as Oatmeal. Vegetable Soups include the Harvest Vegetable and Broccoli soup.

Non Halal Foods:

Anything containing Bacon and Sausage is definitely not halal. This includes the Bacon and Cheese Omelette bits.

Chicken Noodle Soup as well as the Potato Bacon Soup is not halal. It contains meat.

Questionable:

The $1.99 Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Tenders, Cheese Croissant (they are made with Cheddar Cheese), and Cheddar Cheese. These products depends for a variety of reasons. Before buying these products, consult a Imam or Scholar beforehand.

Hi can you confirm if the chicken products are halal? Tim Hortons have advised their chicken us purchased from halal certified suppliers...but as you have worked there you will know if it is likely to be contaminated with non halal products e.g using same oils or utensils or prep areas etc.

How did you make sure that alcohol was not used in natural flavors and chocolates? How did you learn about the yeast used in pastries? Are these raw materials coming there ready-made? So how do you know its content? Yeast and alcohol are very important, how can we be sure? I'm asking for my children. Thank you.
