I'd say it mostly has to do with disunity, not following the deen correctly, and sinning. We have Muslims being oppressed all over the globe and some of our supposed Muslim leaders are allies with these oppressors, some being oppressors themselves. In some events, public condemnation happens, but it doesn't go past that. The regular folks, like us, who are not in power, are not united enough to be able to do anything about it. I don't have any statistics but, I'd guess that a majority of Muslims are probably comfortable enough in their lives to not want to change the status quo.

It's easy to say that people need to go back to the religion but, our future is inevitable per the Hadith. Only Allah swt knows when the worst and best of times will come. While we may not change the state of the world, we can at least try to do our best to not stray from the straight path.

Yes it is because of our sins.

Most Muslims do not do their 5 daily prayers and 99.9 percent of us are following the Christians and Jews into the lizard hole..... Must I say more?

Because we are divided. We are Hanbali, Shafi, Shia but not MUSLIMS. We are so divided. We have lefted the rope of Allah. We dont care if non-Muslims attack a Muslim country. We can't stand up for Muslims who are being persecuted. We are so called Muslims with no faith and Imaan in our hearts and those who are true belivers are normally considered as strange and are side lined to an extent that no one listens to them. The role model for many muslims are non-Muslims and we feel ashamed for following Sunnah. We love to ask help and be friend with non-Muslims even though Quran says that who asks non-Muslims for help has nothing to do with Allah.

We have been waiting for UN to help resolve the issues of Palestine and Kashmir for over 70+ years. Did anything happen? We are begging America and European countries to solve issues of Muslim countries, did they help or made things worse? We need to wake up and feel the pain of our Muslim brothers and sisters and need to stand up for them.
Allah will not help until we want to change our own condition and that's only possible if we truly believe in Quran and put it into practice.

Yup I agree, we are divided, however regarding the four madhabs, we differ in a minority of opinions but we have no disagreement with them and consider them all Allah's mercy in way of flexibility, so the four madhab people are considered to be ONE GROUP and united, as its the aqeedah that unites us, not the fiqh.

Not sure about the numbers but here's a site that considers the Muslims of the 4 madhabs to be 85-90 percent of the world's Muslims:

https://islamqa.org/hanafi/daruliftaa/8569

So that would mean, the overwhelming vast majority of Muslims are united Alhamdulillah! :)

Are you kidding me? Another sect - salafis? Why can't we be just Muslim?

85% Ahal Al Sunnah? so remaining 15% who are Shia are non-Muslims? Really? You see the curse of divisions?
Regarding the 85% so called true united Muslims...…
Look up the map of Makkah and you will see up until 1925 there were 4 Musallahs in Kabba. Hanfi's will only pray behind Hanfi and Shafi will only pray behind Shafi and so on. Why? Because they have very major differences; for a Hanafi to pray behind Shafi means the prayer is not accepted. This is not unity my brother. This is Divisionism which started only a century after the death of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. A true Muslim is only one who follows Quran and Sunnah, there is no other criteria. I wish one day you get to understand this very simple thing.

If we are united, then our brothers and sisters should not be suffering in Kashmir and Palestine. How can we even eat when we know that our sisters are being raped in Kashmir? Do you think companions would have gone to talk to America to solve our problems?

We are like this because our heart have love for dunaya more than akhira......
We are like this because we teach our children, physics, biology, chemistry, etc but not teach them Qura'an, the stories of the sahaba, the prophets and Islam correctly.....
We are like this because we disregard Sunnah...oooh beards are ugly...ooh it is just a sunnah....oooh this was in the olden days now we are different....
We are like this because we failed our boys miserably....we failed in teaching them to mimic the best of creation...prophet Mohammad peace be upon him....
We are like this because we put that Qura'an in shelves collecting dust as if it is a nicnac instead of everyday reading it....
....
....
We are like this because we love the non-Muslim over the Muslim....

We consider the Salafis are brothers in faith. That article in link addressed the Salafi Ulema I think who have come across all the evidence for the madhabi way being correct but still they adhere to the way of Ibn al-Wahhab

The Salafi laymen are all sincere InshAllah thus it is hoped Allah will overlook their mistake

The non ahlus sunnah Muslims are not non-Muslims but are deviant who would spend a temporary time in hell

Regarding the shia, we do not do blanket takfir on them and only excommunicate those who we come to know have some kufr beliefs

Rasul (saw) told us in hadith why Muslims will be in the wretched state they are today :

In a hadith, the Prophet said: “It is very close, that different nations will invite one another against you, just as people seated around a platter of food invite one another to consume that food.”
Someone asked the Prophet: “Will we be few in number that day?”
The Prophet said: “No you will be many, but you will be like the rubbish of the flood. Allah will extract from the hearts of your enemies their fear and Allah will cast in your hearts wahn (weakness).”
Someone asked the Prophet: “What does wahn mean?”
The Prophet said: “The love of the dunya (the world) and the dislike (fear) of death.”

Hanafis and shafis pray asr at different times so this may have been the reason why they had different musallahs, but generally, after their initial period, the friction between different madhabs vanished and unity was achieved

We follow Quran and sunah, there is no disagreement about that, but we just say these 2 sources need expert interpretation, so the non experts follow the experts

Oops, this is turning into another sectarian debate so I better exit before it's too late! :)
