View Full Version : A Vital Reminder.

As-Salaam alaikum,
In ayat 17-18 of Surat Qaf of the Holy Qur'an (50:17/18), Allah Ta'ala says:--

"Behold, two (guardian angels) [are] appointed to learn/record
(his doings)..Learn (and note them), one sitting on the right and
one on the left. Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by
him, Ready (to note it)."

Here, we are reminded that each and everyone of us, human beings, is assigned 2 recording Angels (Kiraman Katibeen) to record his deeds-- good or bad, performed by each bodily organ. So exceedingly efficient is their perception that anything heard, observed, spoken or whispered, slightest movement of any of the body organs is instantly recorded...just as an efficient video recorder does not miss any sound or movement. So, Beware!!!

Good post, however let's not get the people paranoid by saying they record the slightest organ movement.

Hadith says if a person intends to sin and then doesn't carry out the sin, no sin is recorded for him at all and instead a good deed is recorded.

And if a person intends to do a good deed and doesn't do it, he gets reward for doing it and if he does it, he gets reward of doing it ten times over....

So the recording of sin is when the sinful act is perpetrated and not just an organ impulse.

And the angels are generous with good deed, just an intention to do it will get them scribbling :)

As-Salaam alaikum,
Yes Sir, indeed it is so!! If we commit sin(s) through our bad deeds and immediately repent and sought Allah's forgiveness with a sincere heart and intention not to go back to such sins, we will find Him Most-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.
But this does NOT mean the 2 recording Angels will not have recorded our bad actions (sins) for which we repented!!! They do their job as assigned..most efficiently... but such bad records are erased immediately we seek Allah's Forgiveness.
May we find ourselves regularly performing good deeds and thereby have positive records in our Book of Deeds, and much less of bad deeds.
Regards.

Astaghfirullah You seem to have trouble understanding what I write in plain elementary English.

Who said anything about angels not writing sin?, it's the intention for sin they do not write but they do write the actual perpetration of sin

Peace out :)

Abu Huraira reported that Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), said: When it occurs to my bondsman that he should do a good deed but he actually does not do it, record one good to him, but if he puts it into practice, I make an entry of ten good acts in his favour. When it occurs to him to do evil, but he does not commit it, I forgive that. But if he commits it, I record one evil against his name. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) observed. The angels said: That bondsman of Yours intends to commit evil. though His Lord is more Vigilant than he. Upon this He (the Lord) said: Watch him; if he commits (evil), write it against his name but if he refrains from doing it, write one good deed or him, for he desisted from doing it for My sake. The Messenger of Allah said: He who amongst you is good of faith, all his good acts are multiplied from ten to seven hundred times (and are recorded in his name) and all the evils that he commits are recorded as such (i, e. without increase) till he meets Allah.

As-Salaam alaikum,
Again, peace to one and all. Afwan...brother Ahmed. Many a times, I do have problems understanding things written in plain English. Unlike some of you, English is not my mother tongue... again, Afwan, wa Sitraan.
Many Regards.
