Assalam o alaikum rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Often in my masjid I can see some of people counting tasbih with prayer bead. But this is not great as counting on fingers. It is also sunnah to use right hand

Narrated Yusayrah, mother of Yasir:

The Prophet (ﷺ) commanded them (the women emigrants) to be regular (in remembering Allah by saying): "Allah is most great"; "Glory be to the King, the Holy"; "there is no god but Allah"; and that they should count them on fingers, for they (the fingers) will be questioned and asked to speak.

Hadith

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As:

I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) counting the glorification of Allah on fingers.

Ibn Qudamah said (in his version: "With his right hands".

Sahih (Al-Albani)

Sunan Abi Dawud 1502
In-book : Book 8, Hadith 87
English translation : Book 8, Hadith 1497
Abu Dawood

Humaidah bint Yasir narrated from her grandmother Yusairah - and she was one of those who emigrated - she said:

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to us: ‘Hold fast to At-Tasbih, At-Tahlil, and At-Taqdis, and count them upon the fingertips, for indeed they shall be questioned, and they will be made to speak. And do not become heedless, so that you forget about the Mercy (of Allah).’”

No need to waste money on prayer bead. Some of people may be absent minded when doing dikhr. They gaze at other things while using prayer bead.

Start counting tasbih on your fingers on your right hand as it was done by prophet peace be upon him. Your fingers will be questioned aswell.

In dikhr. comptele 15 times on your fingers til 7th times, then comptele 10 times

I would like to share you these simple dikhr which gains alot of rewards in sha Allah

SubhanAllah
Alhamdulillah
Astagfirullah
Allah o Akbar
lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh

You can recite 100 times each of them or more than that for more rewards in sha Allah. But don't go too extreme.

JazakAllah khair.

The tasbih (prayer beads) is a great tool that reminds us of Allah. It is a sunnah too! :)

A penny spent to buy tasbih is a penny spent in the path of Allah, which yields great reward.

The guy engaged in zikr with his 'mind wandering' could be doing tasbih with more taqwa than us

Let's not criticize and demean... Especially when we're in our youth, and let's keep our minds open to knowledge.... This is the humble way :)
