Hello.
What would a Sunni Muslim (of different schools) do if they arrive at a congregation when imam is in Ruku'? What about Sojood?

What's your agenda for asking

In Iran, we used to utter 'yaa-allaah' so the Imam would lengthen the ruku' so that we have time for Takbir and going to Ruku' (pillars of namaaz are the takbir.at-ul-ehraam, pre-Ruku', ruku, post-Ruku', sujood). We cannot join while imam is in sojood.
But I don't see this practice here in Calgary, so I wonder why is that.

Doesn't make sense to me. So you saying that if ten people were to come one after another, saying Ya Allah....then the Imam would have to remain in Ruku all that time ?

So he the Imam has the autonomy to lengthen the ruku despite someone calling out Ya Allah (Even-though the objective of calling out Ya Allah is for him to lengthen it in the first place) ????

That now REALLY doesn't make sense. Please expound on this fully so we may understand.

You don't see that practice because it's not from the sunnah

No, didn't search for videos, my English is not very good, but thanks. I got a feeling from the first video.
Yes, we also pray the missed ruk'a's, but when we imam lengthens the ruku', we at least don't miss that ruk'at.

Not when it wasn't done by the prophet sallaho alayhi wa sallam or his companions may Allah bless them with the highest ranks of jannah

Who said saying rewarding dhikr wasn't done by thhe prophet, a sahabi, or a household of the prophet? The prophet himself would make Qunut, so it is not something new

Salaam brother soheil1,

We should try to be respectful of the culture. Maybe in Iran, this was a practice you and the Muslims there have done...

But if you live in Calgary Canada, and you notice nobody does this cultural practice, it's because we Canadian Muslims don't.

While the Imam is leading the prayer, we may say Ameen aloud after Surah Fatihah. Other than that. we don't utter anything aloud as not to distract others or the Imam. If you are late to congregation, you silently join in and pray the missed rakat after the prayer has ended.

Only Allah knows best.

If he's not willing to compromise his religion for the rulers. More reason to listen to him.

WAS,
But 3 out of 5 prayers require audible(جهریة) reciting of Al-Fatihah&the surah, while others' Fatihah&Surah have to be inaudible (سریة)
