Assalamu alaikum, this question was presented to me by a female (who is affected) close to me and I found it difficult to answer because, while I know the answer in the case of if its a male who is affected, I'm not sure of the answer if its a female who is affected, hence my relating the question here for clarification. The case is as follows:

"After a late-night session of tahajjud followed by sahur and fajr prayer (this happened during this Ramadhan), I was exhausted enough to take a nap around mid-morning. During that map, I had a wet dream which woke me up. My questions include:
1. Is my fasting compromised or not; do/can I continue the fasting?
2. Do I need to perform ghusl after waking up to the realisation that I had a wet dream during my nap?
I look forward to your response so that not only can I add this to my knowledge, but so that I can also inform the female close to me, so that she can be educated as well. Jazakallah khairan."

Assalam o Alaikum rahamutullahi wa barakuthu.

Wet dreams doesn't break fasting, because it is above person's scope. and it is also natural, but ghusl must be performed if there is discharge.

Narrated Um Salama:

Um Sulaim came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Verily, Allah does not feel shy to tell the truth. If a woman gets a nocturnal sexual discharge (has a wet dream), is it essential for her to take a bath? He replied, "Yes if she notices a discharge." (Sahih Bukhari 6121)

Allah knows best.
